I’ve seen enough of this pussy. He’s got no balls to pull the season changing deal. Gorton sucked. This assclown is just as bad.

So they’re going to fire this loser then bring in another loser big name gm. Rinse and repeat. I have no faith in this organization to hire people who can actually build a Stanley cup winning team.

Too much dead weight right now. Goodrow, Wheeler, Kakko to a degree, even Miller has been a liability when it looked like he was going to take the next step.

Drury still sitting quietly on his ass waiting for the TDL to make a trade for some old scrub. Horrible gm.

To show you how much trouble we are in with this moron as our GM. The Rangers twitter blocked me for pointing out how clueless he was and how he had ZERO creativity. My post for me was incredibly mild compared to what I post here. That shows you how thin skinned this GM is. I have no doubt he reads that twitter board and the guy is as soft as Charmin.

I think Drury needs to decide which path he wants to take this year. If this team is truly going to compete for a Cup this season, they need an upgrade on D, and a legit top 9 forward added (assuming Chytil is back to be a second top 9 forward added - they need to add two top 9 forwards if Chytil isn't coming back). If he isn't going to do that, then the Rangers should sell, because they cannot compete for a Cup without a few reinforcements. I also think Drury should seriously think about a big identity/chemistry changing trade to mix up the core group, this is most likely something that would happen in the summer though.

Along those lines, if this team doesn't get it done this season, Drury needs to make big moves this summer for sure. You cannot bring back this core group fully if you fall short again, that would be crazy.

Sadly, I have little faith Drury has the ability to get any of this done, and my guess is he makes one move for a rental like Tarasenko or someone like that, and maybe a depth dman, which I would argue is pointless and a waste of assets.

So, let's see guys I mentioned for the Rangers to get that were available and our dumb fuck GM's did nothing. Bennett. Reinhart. Barbashev, Gourde. Just a few. All were traded and all are a heck of a lot better than garbage on this team. Drury is an inept, clusterfuck.

Imo , they’re not enough good minds in all major sports . There’s a lot of money. Just not enough strategists!

Mr. this is a special team. Yeah, special and sucking at hockey.

The rangers were the best team in hockey
They are now playing like the worst

We all know one thing, being hot at the right time will win you a cup as long as you get in.

That is all I’m hopin for right now. Get in!

I feel badly for him as well. At this point seems questionable at best he plays again, not worth the risk for his life.

Will be interesting to see what Drury does now. Read today before the Chytil news, the Rangers are looking for 1 or 2 C's. I think the Rangers need 3 players to be legit, which is a lot. I admit I'm very intrigued by what Drury does or does not do leading up to the trade DL, especially with an additional $4.4M to play with.

Habs are on crack if they think they will get a 1st back for Monahan. So pass on him. The Rangers should not trade any more first or second round picks for the foreseeable future. Their top scorers are getting old. They need to replace them. Dubois is hated by Kings fans. Many question his desire to play hockey. It's a risk to trade for him. It would absolutely have to be 50% retained with Goodrow going back the other way. Goodrow is really the only salary going back that would make sense. I would also want a first round draft pick from the Kings because if that moron continues to be a bust, you're still on the hook for 4 million for quite a few years. Krebs on Buffalo might be a good steal target. There is no room for him there. He's only getting 12 minutes a night. His talent level is pretty high. He's winning 45% of his draws which I expect to up when he works with Peca. Jones might be a nice piece for the Sabres to add.

Saw Wennberg and Eberle mentioned if the Kraken fall out of it. Backlund from Calgary too. Monahan will probably bring back a late 2nd I'd think, plus maybe a midrange prospect.

You want to trade Goodrow for Dubois and a 1st and 50% retained by the Kings. I'm sure the Kings will jump to give up all that for Goodrow/to get rid of Dubois and have $4.25M of dead cap space for the next 7 seasons.

Also, if you don't want to deal a 1st or 2nd round pick, don't expect to get any player of impact back. Dealing 1st and 2nd round picks is how trade DL deals work, if the Rangers won't, other teams surely will. I am not saying I agree or disagree with dealing those picks, just saying if you say I won't, then forget adding impact players. The Rangers already traded away their 2025 and 2026 2nd round picks to Arizona in the Nemeth deal.

I have seen Henrique mentioned a few times, I think he is in play. He'd be a solid 3rd line C and wins over 50% of his FO's also (53.4% this year).

Krebs is starting to entice me. I can picture him with Cuylle and Othmann and flourishing. Monahan more of a lock to do so, but the price will be too high.

Henrique seems to be the guy they are trying to acquire. Again, absolutely no draft picks should be traded. They don’t have a defenseman to quarterback their power-play, so Jones could be a fit there. I would want the Bruins second round draft pick back in a deal if we’re sending them, Jones and another prospect for a guy that’s clearly a one year rental.

It would appear the Rangers are not shopping the 22-year-old ahead of the NHL trade deadline on March 8. But the Blueshirts could be open to trading Kakko as part of a big deal that could bring back a top-six right wing or middle-six center, or both.

“Kaapo Kakko is perhaps an asset that Chris Drury … considers using as trade bait,” Dreger said. “New York has cap space and the assets like Kakko to acquire a significant piece.”

The Rangers gained salary cap relief of $4.4375 million when Filip Chytil was placed on long-term injured reserve Sunday. Chytil, who’d been out since sustaining an upper-body injury Nov. 2, had just returned to practice with the Rangers last week before he had a setback related to the initial injury at the morning skate Friday.

I'd rather give up Kakko for Lindholm than a 1st. I'm not sure Calgary would. Seems unlikely we end up with him but I definately see Tarasenko and Monahan/Henrique as distinct possibilities. Maybe a 4th line guy possibly. Don't see them adding anyone to the D corps unless they shipped Miller out. We have plenty of DL space to work with, plus they can add in someone like Pitlick or have the other team retain a bit to make it work.

GM’s that are worried about losing their job trade draft picks for rentals. Let’s hope the imbecile Drury doesn’t do this.

Lindholm went to Vancouver for Kuzmenko, a 1st and some other junk.

Exactly the price I wouldn’t want to pay. If we threw away the first round draft pick last year, we don’t have Perreault. No trading of picks. Especially for a rental.

Wait, you cursed at me and called me all sorts of names 2 weeks ago when I said Lindholm should be our target, because you said a Canadian team like the Flames would never trade him. That is so surprising Lindholm got traded considering your ability to see the future...that never happens. Funny as usual.

That is a lot, but Vancouver looks very scary now. Once again, we will have to trade our 1st round pick if we want any impact guys. The only way I see getting around that is if Kakko is subbed in for the 1st round pick, or maybe it is a conditional pick that becomes a 1st if we make the ECF (like the Copp deal 2 years ago).

If we do deal Kakko, Drury better not get just one rental like Tarasenko. For Kakko we need something beyond this year IMO, and/or I would like to fill 2 of our 3 holes, which IMO are C, top 6 RW, and a dman.

My fear is Drury will try and save his job and trade an excellent prospect or a first or second to save his job for a guy that won't make the difference. If Shiterskin is going to play like this, we aren't going anywhere.

Drury has a very interesting decision. Go for it, which means Kakko and/or a 1st round pick are on the table, or don't go for it, which means we really aren't a contender this season. Not an easy choice given how we have played recently, but we also are in 1st place. Tough call. Everything I have read tells me he will go for it and Kakko and/or a 1st round pick will be dealt. Have read he feels we are right there as a legit contender, and we are a win now team.

Is there gonna trade a first round pick and Kakko and they don’t get back Zegras, Drury should have his balls cut off in front of Madison Square Garden
