Not to start anything..but I'm sorry, that just seems shady..lol.
 
It seems as if the judges based it on the last tournament, I don't think they paid any attention to the little warm ups we had. Or maybe they did, who knows.

By the way, isn't NTC a judge to. Where are his votes at?
 
NTC hadn't seen enough battles/didn't have enough time, so I made him exempt. I didn't want to have uninformed rankings in there.

The 3,3,3 thing from MrJ doesn't look good, but you have to put it next to mine and AF's rankings. When you average it out, our lower rankings brought us down. Either way, I think our bracket turned out great, so I'm not sure what else we can do.
 
If I get to the semi finals..I hope MrJ does, so I can make the judges look stupid(7th? Come on..lol).
 
I didn't necessarily agree with the rankings either, but there's really nothing left to do. When I created the bracket, it ended up looking a lot better than I thought it would so I just left it. Honestly, this is why I didn't want to release the rankings in the first place. Unless someone sees a problem as serious as the one that GotSkillz had, I don't want to have to adjust the bracket all over again.
 
Naw I'm not gonna throw a fit about it..it'll just be that much easier to prove em wrong. Lighting a fire under my ass isn't really the smartest thing to do.

Then when you lose the 2vs2 battle it'll give you even more motivation.

well in all honesty, I thought Karma and Chutney were the top rankings, after all they were in the finals (still don't know how the hell Brian ranked him 6th). I just want to say to Air Fresh that i had a hard time with rankings 3,4 and 5, and it was really hard to decide where to rank y'all, felt it was kinda toss up.

And i'm not sure who it was, but some dude was throwing a hissy fit and i ranked him low.

ahh yes, i almost forgot. Don't make the bars (words in the line) too long as you lose flow and the delivery (when reading it) seems kinda off. Instead, focus on the punchlines, wordplay and multis.

just my 2 cents.

Yeah, that was definetly my mistake there. But looking back at all the other judges rankings, I still felt I did a pretty good job at my rankings (except for Chutney).

I don't mind the lower ranking. I'd rather have a tougher path to the finals anyway.
 
The only thing I can complain about is not being able to battle my NY JBB'ers unless we make it to the finals. Other than that its all good, rankings are not going to phase me because either way you've just got to win your battle.

I was going to say start it up on Friday the 15th.

Does everyone agree on 3 verses a round with a max of 16 lines (bars) for each verse? I think the maximum should be 20 bars myself, while I ususally stick to 16s, sometimes people have a little bit more to say, and an extra 4 bars is enough imo.

We need to get this established and then I'll edit all the info to the first page.

What does a so called hissy fit have to do with my rapping abilities? Stick to the production of the rhymes and not with arguments.

I'm asking members to post their Winter Break dates, so we can average out a starting date
 
A lot of our members here are in high school, so would it be good to start the last week of school? I remember the last week of high school, unlike university, being pretty chill. We should definitely try and get it done before Christmas, when everyone's caught up in family and vacation stuff.

As long as it's after Thursday, I'm cool with it.

I'm not in high school but my last week of school before the break is usually hectic. Teachers give you all these tests last week, and try to get all these assignments in so we don't have HW during the break. But, if its conveniant for everyone else, then its cool I can manage.

Afterall its just Phundamentals, LOL jk.
 
What's all this MrJ hating going on?

Anyway, as it stands now, any date is cool with me. Wish it were sooner rather than later though.
