Ohhh, rematch with Iggy in round one.
 
Nice work Chutney! But I've only got one minor issue (sorry for being a downer), but shouldn't Air Fresh be ranked higher than MrJ? Because he won in the battle. Again, it's just a minor problem, and it's not such a big deal. Anyways, props on the work!
 
Damn I just noticed that MrJ is going to get a cakewalk to the championship again. He always gets lucky with these brackets.

That is weird, MrJ has beaten Umair and VC, yet me and Chutney are ranked below him and we both beat him.

I'm cool with it, but it doesn't really make sense.

When do we start?
 
You'll have to ask the other judges for that. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a whole lot of reasons, but here's a few:

-they probably put more weight in the tournament
-MrJ had some SAT stuff to do near the end of his battle with AF
-regardless of his competition, they think highly of his style, content

I'm not trying to put words in their mouths, so don't take that as their reasoning. All I can say is that, outside of Karma, the top 4 was very close. Me and Air Fresh were seperated by decimal points.
 
I'm pumped about matching up with Iggy. I got a lot of stuff to use.

When are the actual battles going to start?

They aren't that ridicolous. They'll do just fine. Not everyone is going to agree but I think everything outside of the top 4 is perfect. And plus, this system is better than last year's, at least we have rankings. Good job judges.

You are facing Karma, Umair is facing S.Livingston, and I'm facing Iggy. You read it wrong.
 
lol man...I wanna son MrJ just to prove to whoever thought he deserved it over me, Chutney, and AF. I bet I know who it is too..lol.
 
So #13 faces an unranked and #12 faces the #1. That makes a whole lotta sense. Whatever though.

That was a problem I had and if you guys could think of a better solution, I'd gladly go for it. We have one extra unranked battler who doesn't have another unranked to face.

So what do we do? I gave him the last ranked guy. Its unfair to the people ranked ahead, but I put it so the winner of that battle faces the winner of 1st seed's battle. Its still a bit unfair, but I couldn't think of any alternatives. Any ideas?

I think Umair should have to battle Umair since he was the last person ranked. Just like the first seed always plays the 8th seed in the first round of the playoffs right?

Give Karma or Mr.J the bye. And then rank those guys below Umair, 13-16. Just pick their names out of a hat. That would be fair.

I dont think Someone can battle themselves. You meant Karma right?
 
That's what I want to do, but then what do we do with that one unranked guy?

We could rank S.Livingston at 14 and have him face Karma, but that might be unfair to a newbie. We'd have to ask him if he's alright with it.

We have 16 people, so we can't give out byes anymore.
 
We give byes to Mr.J and Karma then just like the Western and Eastern Conferences.

Yes.

The first seed in the playoffs plays the last seed, in this case Umair is the last seed so he should have to battle Karma.
 
Ok you guys aren't thinking this through or I'm not understanding it:

AF's idea:

So we have Umair face Karma, Gotskillz face MrJ, Carter face me, etc. Now we have S.Livingston14 as an unranked with no one to battle. And the #7 competitor (Iggy) has no one to battle. If you let them face each other its unfair to competitors ahead of Iggy who have to face harder competitor, when they should be facing easier ones.

GotSkillz92's idea:

You give a bye to Karma and MrJ, but that still doesn't solve what to do with the extra unranked.

This how I see it. We got a couple choices, and inevitably someone's going to get the short end of the stick:

1) We let the unranked face the worst ranked so that it's fair to the newbie. The winner of that battle faces the winner of Karma's battle. Obviously the second last battler gets it unfair here. (this is what I did)

2) We include S.Livingston14 as a ranked competitor, rank him last, and have him face Karma. Then Umair faces MrJ (2 v. 13), GotSkillz92 faces me (3 v. 12), Carter faces Air Fresh (4 v. 11), etc. Obviously the new dude get it unfair here, because he has to face the hardest competitor.

The question is which is least unfair?
 
Last one I think. Like you said someone gets the shortend of the stick and who better to get it than a noob that's never battled here.
 
S.Livingston14 are you confident enough to go up against the top ranked battler? The reason we let Aznx and CPaul face each other is because they hadn't battled before and weren't sure how good they'd do. If you think you're up for the challenge of Karma, it'd help things out a lot.
 
Any chance I can see some of his freestyles?
Oh and gotskillz I hope you mean a noob to battling on this site and not a noob to the site considering I've been here longer than you.
