I set the DVR in great anticipation of watching the Blazers/Atlanta game. For some reason, it didn't record. Pissed I am. Very very upset.

Here's a little education for you. Not all men are sexist. Not all men are threatened by women. Not all men are homophobic.

I have gay friends. One of them actually just married the love of his life. I'm very happy for him.

I'm not threatened by women. I grew up around women. I love an intelligent woman who has opinions and isn't afraid to speak her mind. I hope my fiancee makes more money than me because then we will have a comfortable life.

What I can't stand is someone who thinks they're pioneering for a cause, but instead only making their cause look bad because they're constantly injecting their political agenda into conversations that have NOTHING to do with that topic.

If this was a thread discussing womens rights, or gay rights, or equality, you would be 100% valid to post your opinion and discuss your thoughts on the issue, but why does every thread that even mentions a woman have to bring you out of hiding so that you can enlighten the neanderthals about how misinformed they truly are?

If you want to post about the Portland Trail Blazers, GREAT, we would love to hear your opinions on the matter, but I know I'm not the only one who is sick and tired of your shtick. I've never posted anything sexist. I've never posted anything derogatory towards women. I've never had an avatar of a scantily clad model, so who is really the judgmental one here?

You call me a sexist, but you don't know me. You don't know the first thing about me. How is that any different than using a derogatory term against women or gays? Maybe you should think twice before being so judgmental.

It was a joke! Seriously, Crandc can hold her own and doesn't need me fighting for her but some of the posters here go out of their way to attack her and it's really pissing me off!

You will never know what it's like to be a woman. What it's like to hear degrading remarks about you just because of your gender everyday. What it's like to have to ask yourself every time if you think you'll be safe going somewhere alone. What it's like to feel that instant terror every time you are out alone and run into a male you don't know. It's something we experience everyday! That's why she sends out the little reminders and if you don't like it why can't you just skip over the post?

I'm sure crandc reaction wouldnt be so hot if NB3 would have called her a bitch, even if he was "joking"

Because it's not a joke. It's an agenda hidden by a thinly veiled attempt at humor. It's the same thing over and over. If someone mentions women, or gay people, or gay women, I KNOW that Crand will appear in the thread and talk about sexists or bigots or sexist bigots.

^^ This was not a joke. This was one person calling another person a bad name. Calling someone sexist is offensive. Just because I created a harmless thread about having a mancrush on Damian Lillard did not require a post pointing out that not all the posters on this forum are men, or a reply to a post calling me sexist. I merely pointed out that she has a shtick and so she called me sexist. That's great.

Some posters on this forum are more antagonistic than others when it comes to Crand. They will flat out provoke her and I apologize for that, but it's not fair for her to lump us all in with some men, just like it would be unfair for us to lump you and crand in with all women. I'm just tired of the same old crap, just like I'm tired of other shtick posters who spew the same stuff over and over. The difference is that most of the other redundant people on this forum are talking about basketball. Crand only seems to want to talk about women and gay people.

Nice. So to fix that problem, crandc wants to add to the problem by doing the same thing, and worse to men.

It's pathetic, unintelligent and more sexist than what most men post on this board.

Godamighty, do I have to explain everything in words of one syllable????

The standing (and untrue) put down of feminists is we have no sense of humor. So I reversed it and said sexists have no sense of humor. It was a JOKE, fams. A JOKE. A reversal of roles.

The point was to make a JOKE. Not derail the thread. Not provoke a tirade. A JOKE.

No wonder so few women post here. Men's jokes are recognized as such. No one expects HCP to blow a gasket over the JOKES about his wife, for example. Because everyone knows they are JOKES. But let a woman make a JOKE and all hell breaks loose.

The trick with reversals is that (a) the original being reversed has to be in mind at the time, and (b) the reversal has to be at the same level. Nobody was laughing about feminists in this thread. As for being at the same level or ribbing, calling the OP a sexist because he used the word mancrush is not appropriate. Whether you think it's accurate or not, or funny or not, is not the point. Mancrush is not an aggressive term against you. Sexist *is* an aggressive term against Nate.

What you said was not funny, not appropriate, and aggressive. I think an apology is in order.

Don't hide behind that. Don't make this about women. Nobody is singling you out because you're a woman. This is about you. I never said that feminists don't have a sense of humor, nor have I ever seen anyone else make that kind of remark.

I said you have a shtick and you called me a sexist.

It would be one thing if this was out of the ordinary for you, but it's virtually every single post you make. You have an "us vs them" mentality and you don't care if you lump a bunch of good people in with your stereotypes about men.

If you really think that she's more sexist than what most men post here there's no point in even discussing this.

I love men, I enjoy posting on the board and interacting with you all, but there is a reason why I disappear for months at a time. I get to the point where the decent guys voices are drowned out by the creeps and I have to take a break. Crandc doesn't even bother reacting or responding to 95% of it.

If a guy has a crush on a girl, it is just a "crush". It is only a "mancrush" because The Omen is a man. :devilwink:

OMG... we've made progress! I love you guys!!!! :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

Now bringing this full circle... people were trying to come up with a good nickname for him. After seeing his post game interviews I was struck by how he immediately starts analyzing the game and his play. He'll acknowledge that he made good plays when asked and respond with why he made the decision to do it at the time. And he'll also list a couple things he wanted to do better. To work on. He also mentioned he watches a lot of tape. And he's very serious but not aloof. He gives really honest answers and they're incredibly thoughtful. Brandon Roy sometimes came across as "polished" (like Neil does now) but you know he's kind of working it for PR. Damian is just as likeable in interviews but you can tell it's genuine acknowledgement to his teammates.

Anyway, long, long, long story short I started thinking this guy has a computer for a brain and a machine for a body. He's the Terminator!
