Watching the playoffs revealed just how poor our players are at setting screens. Guys like Draymond/Bogut/Gasol/Mozgov/etc etc etc just leveled their opponents with bone jarring screens (ya some of the moving variety), while our big men just did some half ass shit that got no one open.

Perhaps we can address this need in the draft???
I think it's coaching because we are terrible at setting and get burnt defending. 75% of our screens are to get the big a mid range shot.

Just watched my first two DX videos: Upshaw and Wright. I think I'm sold on Wright - has a lot of qualities this team is missing.

The 19 players invited to the green room (includes Hunter, Delon Wright and RHJ). Wisely, Hunter and Wright declined their invites. Surprisingly, so did Tyus Jones:

Karl Towns (Kentucky)
Jahlil Okafor (Duke)
D'Angelo Russell (Ohio State)
Kristaps Porzingis (Latvia)
Justise Winslow (Duke)
Emmanuel Mudiay (Democratic Republic of Congo)
Stanley Johnson (Arizona)
Devin Booker (Kentucky)
Willie Cauley-Stein (Kentucky)
Frank Kaminsky (Wisconsin)
Trey Lyles (Kentucky)
Myles Turner (Texas)
Cameron Payne (Murray State)
Kelly Oubre, Jr. (Kansas)
Bobby Portis (Arkansas)
Jerian Grant (Notre Dame)
Sam Dekker (Wisconsin)
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (Arizona)
Kevon Looney (UCLA)

I want to draft Hollis Jefferson if he is available.

We should have contest on who the last person picked from the Green Room is.

Porzingis:

7'1.25 w/o shoes
7'6" wingspan
230 lbs.

Dude is pushing 7'3" w/shoes!

Gobert: 7'0.5" w/o shoes | 7'8" wingspan | 238 lbs
Porzingis: 7'1.25" w/o shoes | 7'6" wingspan | 230 lbs

:blink::blink:

Here's a guy I really wish hadn't got injured: Briante Weber. I wonder if it's possible for him to recover. Sounds like the injury was pretty gruesome and a lot of his game was predicated on (a) athleticism and (b) going 100% all-out. But imagine bringing him off the bench if even for short bursts. Like young Rajon Rondo.

Do we have enough *realistic* assets to trade into the 3-5 range for a shot at KP?

What about the magic? Skiles is a defensive coach and at some point that team needs to start winning. Harris is a FA and us more of a 4 anyway. Batum plus our pick plus cash for #5? Their gm said they've been talking to half a dozen teams about moving back. I could totally see them being interested in Batum.

Here's a great read - it's the annual SI piece where an anonymous scout gives his honest opinion.
Here's Christian Wood and Delon Wright:

Christian Wood, 6’11” forward, UNLV: “When you’re that skinny and have 15% body fat, it just tells me that you don’t work. His shot’s not broken but I think he takes too many. He’s tall, he’s long. He checks a lot of boxes. He might have as much upside as anyone in this draft. He’s immature, but he’s not a bad kid. He probably sits around and watches cartoons.”

Delon Wright, 6’6” guard, Utah: “What concerns me is his shooting and lack of athleticism. You have to have one or the other to play that position. He had the ball in his hands all the time in college. I don’t know how that translates to the NBA. He’s not good enough to have the ball in his hands as much as he did. He’s more clever than fast. He’s 23 years old and still only 180 pounds, and he’s not a jet.”

nbadraft has Oubre dropping all the way down to 23. Thought this guy was late lottery-- what's going on?

I think Anderson is a safer pick than RHJ because I think Anderson will be able to contribute immediately, where RHJ might take some seasoning.

Supposedly has tons of potential, but no actual production to back it up. Rumors that his college coach didn't like his attitude/work ethic.
