Keeping the cap in mind I would draft this guy at #23 and let Real Madrid develop him for the next two years.
Oh yeah? Well I would draft VESENKOV and let PANATHINAIKOS develop him!

"Willy" sounds like a poor man's Pekovic, while Vesenkov sounds like a poor man's Mirotic. (Or the Bulgarian Larry Bird - if you factor in comparative population size)

Comparing mock drafts:
DraftExpress: Veskenkov @33, Hernangomez @45
NBADraft.net: Hernangomez @44, Vesenkov@54

I guess they basically agree about Willy...

I'd be content to draft Wright and PLAY him. Silly, I know.

Sheesh - get with the times, man.

I actually wouldn't be too upset about that. He sounds interesting, and I like big PGs who play defense. But he is kind of old for a college kid and I'd rather have a more tried-and-tested model for our Blake replacement. (Hello? Shaun Livingston? I was saying this TWO YEARS AGO!)

Yeah, drafting a senior point guard who played in Utah is probably a bad idea. ;)

While we're rambling on about Euros (and most readers of the board's eyes are glazing over), this guy sounds interesting - sounds like he has better defense than Willy H.:

DraftExpress has him at #36 currently.

Ooh, let the guessing begin! I'm going to say OKC. Do they do promises? Boston does but they're pretty stacked with guards. And Payne is supposed to be "an unselfish passer" - that would be a breath of fresh air in OKC.

I know you're thinking of Lillard, but there's also Andre Miller. I think he was a pretty old rookie, too.

Andre is a good comparison as they both are crafty on offense, both have a high Basketball IQ, both with kind of herky-jerky moves while utilizing change of speed to get by their opponent. And while I think Andre excels more at finishing inside and throwing an alley oop, I think Delon is a better defender and outside shooter.

As for his age....who cares we only need him for 8 years.

Cleveland did this with Waiters. Shoulda taken Beal.

If there ever is a Juwanna Mann 2, I nominate Kelly Oubre to play the part...

Actually, it's worth reading that whole Chad Ford chat. (Except that Ford/whomever is transcribing for him mixes up their/there/they're.)
Sounds like the Pistons are open to trading #8 and the Suns to trading #13. Also Rashad Vaughn may rise into the teens.

NBAdraft.net has now moved Hernangomez into the first-round - Spurs #26.

CBSsports also moved Hernangomez into the first - #26 to the Spurs. Picking him at #23 isn't such a stretch anymore.

Basketball Insiders (Alex Kennedy, Brigham, Kyler) have moved Jonathan Holmes into the first-round ....to Portland.
