According to this the Blazers (are rumored to have) met with:
Montrezl Harrell* (yay!)
Bobby Portis
Myles Turner (workout)
Christian Wood*
Joseph Young

*Happy, Fez?

Indeed!

Turner is interesting considering his range is mid-lotto.

6'11" with a 9'4" reach, like Wood, he has Whiteside size.

Turner has a lot of LA to his game. Needs to get stronger though. If we are looking at all these PFs I wonder if Kaman is done and Leonard will be full time backup 5?

Portis has a mean streak with an LMA-esque skillset.

He's been a projected mid-first, he's a lotto talent. Great advanced numbers, too.

Tidbits from SheridanHoops:

Harrell:
He averaged 16.7 points and 9.3 rebounds for the Cardinals. Out of all the guys in my top 16, he has the most potential to rise up the draft board between now and late June.

Pick #23:
Looney is the type of prospect teams drafting in the mid-to-late first round love because of his freakish length, a great motor, and good athleticism.

As Looney develops physically, he should have the ability to mix it up down low against NBA bigs. Looney will need patience from the team that drafts

He is another candidate whose stock could rise quickly.

Tonight is the lotto.

Please baby Xenu, don't let the Lakers or Knicks win.

Looney is definitely an interesting option. He is one of those players that you are projecting for the future. He is the type of player that good teams who draft late, end up with lottery type talent......2-3 years later. He is a gamble because he doesn't really have a position now due to his lack of strength. But I think I read where he has a 7'3' wing span. I would not mind gambling on him, other than having to listen to posters bash him for two years.

I will bet 20 bucks that you have at least one of those wrong :)

Suppose (a) the Knicks get a top 3 pick, and (b) Aldridge wants out (and would agree to go to the Knicks). What about repeating what Cleveland and Minny did last season?

The Lakers getting the 6th place ping pong ball would be so enjoyable. The odds are not good, but here is hoping for Karma.

If LMA wants out, that would be the best possible scenario.

Love wasn't a free agent, so it's a completely different situation. Knicks have cap space, so if Aldridge wants to go there, they can just sign him outright.

Unless a low-probability lotto team jumps up, there is zero probability of sign-and-trading LA for a top pick.

Agreed. I can see NY trading the pick to make the team more attractive to a free agent. That way they could have a "big 3" including Carmelo. But if they just traded the pick for the free agent then they are wasting an asset.

The Knicks would just sign Aldridge outright and keep the pick. No reason for them to trade the pick.

Party pooper.

Aldridge gets a lot more in a sign-and-trade, and if there's more than one team competing for him and the other team offers sign-and-trade, then it could happen. Of course, it can't happen before the draft, so we'd have to want the player that NY drafted (not Okafor, please).

Aldridge does not get more in a sign and trade.
Also, if more than 1 team is competing, it's up to Aldridge. We don't sign and trade him without consent
