Looks like @BigGameDamian and @Haakzilla are the only ones in our group who picked Furman. @hoopsjock, @PDXFonz, @Strenuus and I all had UVA winning a couple games before losing to 'Bama.

Absolutely amazing--5 years to the day after UMBC beats Virginia in the first ever 16-1 upset, Virginia is upset in the first round again (13-4), and the then-UMBC coach is now at Utah St. and angling for another (far smaller) first-round upset of his own.

I haven't looked at anyone else's bracket, but I imagine most picked Alabama to get out of the south. We'll see how much it really impacts my overall score at the end.

That Duke team being a 5 seed is maybe one of the worst seedings that I've ever seen. Think about if you're Purdue and you handle your business in the first and second round... then you have to play Duke even thought you were a 1 seed.
