Bronny had 3 blocks and 2 steals
Knecht dropped a 20 piece
the Heat team won, so fans in Miami can jump in the ocean, and pretend they can trade Herro for an All-NBA player.

the wire camera in Utah is annoyingly glitchy. I wonder if they borrowed it from Blazers broadcasting?

Knecht shot 7-18 and 2-8 from three. Not exactly lighting the nets on fire.

Hey on a side note I was over at Grant Park today. There used to be a burger place called Bocs down the street. When did that place disappear?
Yessir. up on 39th and Broadway by Sandy. Oh man, they tore that down back in the late 80s. That place was amazing!

That whole area has changed quite a bit. The bowl with the field was pretty cool! I played a number of football games there when I was in school. Didn't have turf then. Natural grass. Yeah it was early 80's. They really put some work into that as a complete sports complex.

That brings back some memories. Out of my 4 years of Little League, the year my team was sponsored by Bocs was my favorite. Loved the post-game celebrations. Free burgers and shakes!
My little league team was Elmer's Pancake house. Mr Elmer himself was there on Jamboree day. After wins it was free pancakes!

Haven’t watched a second of summer league action so far…. But just noticed JJ Reddick is t coaching the Lakers. Seems like he’d want to get all the reps he could.

Are head coaches even allowed to coach summer league? I assumed it's not just a standard convention that it's always an assistant coach.

Why would coaches not be allowed to coach? That makes no sense.

Yeah typically the head coach takes more of a hands off approach and lets assistants get experience, but with Reddick never coaching makes a lot of sense for him to get those reps. Head coach is normally always at summer league coaching, just not standing on the court directing guys. But in this case Nate McMillian and Scotty Brooks don't need the experience.

It was a question, not a statement, and you apparently answered without knowing the answer. Talk about making no sense.

Does new Trailblazer Bryce Mcgowens end up playing with the summer squad?

Grant Bowl…… Ndamukong Suh/Nike Field
Not a bad facility for an inner city 100 year old school.

Exactly how much more must they develop that tank? They are even getting parts from China at this point.
the good news is: the Blazers owner, GM & head coach are fully committed to winning the championship.

the not so good news is: the same Blazer folks who hyped up Dante Cunningham, Noah Vonleh, Joel Freeland, and Nolan Smith, are emphatically excited for this new era of Blazers basketball.

Who are you referring to?

Def seems like summer league fodder!

Recently released Hornets player balls out, could make team regret waiving him
The Charlotte Hornets waived Bryce McGowens, but then, he had a great game in Summer League.

The Charlotte Hornets might regret their latest move. The team recently released Bryce McGowens, but he is still playing for their Summer League team. And in their latest game, he balled out.
McGowens led the way in Charlotte’s win over China, dropping a game-high 20 points. He also added two rebounds, three assists, and one steal, shooting 4-of-8 from the floor and 12-of-14 from the free-throw line.
The fact that he’s even still on the Hornets’ Summer League roster speaks to their liking for the young wing, especially since Pokusevski isn’t on the roster.

At just 21 years old, McGowens still fits into the Hornets’ current timeline, and since they likely aren’t going to be competing for the postseason next year, they should want to get a look at as much young talent as possible.

McGowens is 6-foot-7 and a nifty ball-handler. He just hasn’t been very efficient up to this point in his career, but that’s true for a lot of young players.

If another team picks up McGowens on a two-way contract before the Hornets can get him back, then they could end up regretting losing him. Especially in the middle of a clear rebuild.

Never seen Bryce play.
Stat check:
Cornhusker, 3rd year, 6'6", listed 179lbs. Played ~60 games last season, mostly bench, 15m, 5pts, 2reb, 1ast, with a handful of defensive stops. No technicals, no flagrants. Seems like a nice young man.

Would you trade Ant for Herro? I wouldn't...

... since we HATE Miami now, send Anfernee over for there for bookoo goodies in a 3-way, then listen to Heat fans squirm after Herro & Simons keep giving up wide open dunks.
Sure, I'll take their picks. I'd love that.
