Nobody's saying he won't ultimately be a bust, just that it's too early to give up on a 21 year old 7 footer with rare skills, on a rookie contract, 4 preseason games into his second year... But maybe the internet is the wrong place for common sense and patience.

The Freeland bashing last year was non stop, now suddenly he's a different player. And he'd been playing a lot longer than Meyers.

Difference was freeland was trying to work on his game. He has about as much talent as Leonard has in his left nutsack. But he has more work ethic to improve his game. Fans see that effort and praise it when it pans out.

Didn't say anything about the defense. But I do think offensively,he is working on the things Stotts wants hime to be working on with the coaches. Shooting the three is huge in his offense.

Then it stands to reason he's also working on the defensive things the coaches want, unless you think Stotts is satisfied with him always being in the wrong place. I wouldn't have a problem with him practicing threes if he could play a lick of defense.

I agree with Mags in that it doesn't appear he's working on defense because he's so bad at it, but I have to believe he is. Whether that will ever amount to improvement remains to be seen.

He was lost; as in not understanding the game; but the kid's natural instincts were still there.

Another thing was jerm was our third string center. Leonard is supposed to be our back up center

Well, he could do some of it now, but Freeland spent part of the summer in the Canary Islands. Maybe we should get a D League affiliate there.
