A Rudy, many thought he was going to be our Gianobli, then he got developed a phobia of crossing the 3pt line.

Ariza broke him in much the same way that juwan Howard broke Derek Anderson.

Not a Rudy Gay fan. He would be silly to go after. Not much of an upgrade over Aminu, if at all.

Don't blame him. That organization is pretty dysfunctional. I still lukewarm on getting him but if we could steal him for scraps then sure.

As a third option, I'm sure he would be fine here, but yeah..... I wouldn't give them anything of value.

Meyers/Kaman/Hendo for Gay/McLemore/Collison.

Offensively, he would be a pretty massive upgrade over Aminu.

Gay is averaging 18 ppg, 6.7 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and he's shooting 47% from the field / 34% from three.

Aminu is averaging 10 ppg, 6.4 rebounds, 1 steal, and he's shooting 41% from the field/ 35% from three.

Defensively Aminu is clearly superior, but I'd say right now this team could really use a reliable third scorer.

On thing that would do, is effectively take Portland out of the FA market. Which probably isn't a bad thing.

I would give them Meyers/Kaman/Hendo for just Gay. They do NOT want to move Collison. People keep trying to get him and that isn't happening.

I not a fan of McLemore (especially if Gay is here). He is not even close to as good as Crabbe. Minutes aren't there for all the swingmen.

Blazers will not Practice tomorrow until after the Trade deadline.... I don't know about you but that sounds like a team that is preparing for some potential changes.

Did this change just now, or was that schedule decided long back?

I have no idea who this Carlos Douglas is, but this offer is reported by a number of sources.

The Kings are looking for a better offer, it seems. Or they're willing to stand pat.

That seems like a lot for Gay and McLemore.

Bulls bench hot garbage plus expiring plus a 1st.

Sacto goes from Gay and McLemore to Mirotic and Snell. Seems like a significant downgrade.

Chicago is desperate.

Talk about a dysfunctional organization.

They were so sure the team as constructed was a contender last season and with the new coach they'd do much better this.

Now they're going to blow it up.

Even Jimmy Butler has been rumored available. Only DRose isn't available for a trade, from what I've read.

If Butler is available, you do everything you can (outside of Lillard) to get him here.

Is this a standard thing? Or was this a change in schedule?

The Chicago Bulls are aggressively shopping All-Star forward Pau Gasol, league sources told The Vertical.

Gasol, 35, can opt out of his contract this summer and become an unrestricted free agent, and Bulls general manager Gar Forman seems determined to move him before Thursday's trade deadline with the hope of bringing back value.

Gasol is expected to decline the player option on the $7.4 million owed him in 2016-17.

Gasol is averaging 17 points and 10.9 rebounds for the struggling Bulls.

How much would a Pau rental cost, do you think?

What would they give us for Henderson?

If I had to guess, Snell plus some sweetener.

Snell has good handles so he'd be fine at SG. He's a solid defender. I think he was MVP of the summer league, but has been ineffective in the Bulls scheme of things. Better under Thibs, but this year he's been pretty bad.

Gasol gets rebounds and blocked shots, but he's an utterly horrible defender.

Still, the Bulls aren't going to give him away. My guess is that they'd want a young player (Plumlee) and a pick. At least.

Why even bother though? Dude is 35 and would not resign here (and we might not even want him to due to that age).

MVP of summer league? SIGN THAT MAN!

Well, he was expected to be one of those sleeper picks by the Bulls that turned out really well. The guy has 3pt shooting range and excellent effort on defense. He's got big wingspan, etc. The summer league MVP was at least a sign that he might actually pan out.

Disagree from this perspective: You already are defensively-challenged at the 1 and 2. If you put a guy at the 3 that struggles with defense, opposing teams are just going to kill you on the perimeter. Aminu's value is accentuated by the role he plays and how it fits into the whole scheme of things.

I know, it's just we've had one of those before too. :ghoti:
