I wonder if the Warriors want to dump Andrew Bogut's salary?

I think Bogut is an expensive version of Chris Kaman....it's a wash

Bogut is a lot better than Kaman, and I mean a lot.
yeah, I'm probably stretchin' it and still remembering Mo Williams getting in his grill...underdog cheerleader that I am

Could you explain how Young, who as I said is averaging nearly a double double has "regressed"? Are you saying he's only putting up those kind of numbers because he is on a terrible team like the Nets and if he was picked up by the Blazers those numbers wouldn't translate and he would actually be worse?

I would think Young would be even more effective because he would have Lillard and McCollum distributing the ball to him, who are better players compared to what the Nets have.
His usage rate would be down on this team, but you're right he has improved this season. He slumped a bit the last few seasons, but does seem to have turned it around. Definitely a guy who's never played on a winning team in the league, never know what you are going to get there. Would he buy in to always making the extra pass, or is he used to getting his?

Can we get Collison from Sac? He would be perfect as our backup.

Rip City Project article on Trade Options for Gerald Henderson. http://ripcityproject.com/2016/02/07/gerald-henderson-trade-market/

  • for Otto Porter - 6'8" SF and former #3 pick still on his rookie deal. WAS wants a veteran and has another young SF in Kelly Oubre.
  • for Josh McRoberts and a 2nd Rnd pick. Helps provide depth if Meyers leaves to a huge contract offer. McBob is a very good passing PF.
  • for Jamychal Green, Vince Carter and a 2nd Rnd pick. Green is an Olshey type of value player, cheap and with potential.
  • for Tony Snell, Kirk Hinrich (both cap friendly contracts) and filler.
I like the first one. The others don't excite me, but are better than losing him for nothing.

I've watched a lot of Suns games to watch Booker and I'm really surprised at how good of a passer Markief has turned into. He's really a smart player, at least in bbiq.

Having said that, he's worse than Sheed with his temper. But if you can get him on the cheap he's a legit talent.

Houston doesn't have that "buckle down" mentality instead they get chippy and try to win with flops and initiating contact.

New name to think about: Tyreke Evans
I think he'd be a perfect fit here as a backup PG/SF. Could play with any 2 of our 4 guards. 2 years left at a reasonable amount. He's only 26 so he fits our age group. There's some rumblings he might get dealt. Maybe we could help facilitate an Anderson trade so that we can give up less to get Tyreke.

Tyreke just went under the knife will likely be out the rest of the season

Damn I didn't realize he was out that long. That that just makes him more gettable IMO. Would be great to have him next year at a bargain. Something like this?Screenshot_2016-02-11-02-25-16.png

Do you only propose three team trades? Aren't they relatively rare?

I don't think I'd do that trade though. Evans is always injured and Tolliver is absolute garbage.

We'd likely jump in on an Anderson deal. We could do it straightup, it doesnt matter. Tolliver wouldn't play and if he did, it would just be replacing Meyers.

Tyreke played 72 and 79 games in the past 2 years. Played 60+ the 2 years before. We'd have the depth to survive without him if he did miss a stretch of time.

Could you imagine adding Tyreke and someone like Horford for next year? We'd be contenders, without any extra additions.

Even then those 2 would still leave us with $10M+ in cap space. You could convince Pau Gasol to come here, or go after Joe Johnson to come off the bench, or even go after Durant (We'd have to trade away Davis and Amimu).

I'll pass, Evans can't stay healthy. I prefer we keep Harkless and see his continued growth. I really wanna see us use Kamans expiring and land an older point guard and a small contract player. I'd like to get Miller out of Minny.

Harkless has no chance at ever being as good as Evans and the two years prior played in 72 and 79 games respectively. And he'll be super cheap. Aiming to acquire Andre Miller caliber players will get us nowhere.
