He doesn't make a lot of sense, but what do I know?

He's taller (6'6"), only 23, played really well last season (19.9 PER), but is struggling this season. If you feel like Hendo's value has never been higher, and you want ONLY players in Dame's career arc, you might trade Hendo for Shabazz.

He plays NO defense, though.

Yeah but why would Minnesota want Henderson?

I remember when Shabazz was in college he was seen as the next Kobe. Maybe he'd blow up here like everyone else seems to be doing. Minny is one of those shit places like Sactown where you have to get the young players out of there to see if they're really any good since they can't develop them.

Does it really matter how ugly his shot is if it goes in?
absolutely
I cringe every time he tosses it, I'm usually better off looking away when he has the ball in his hands, I would prefer NOT spewing all over the people around me.

Actually they thought that when he was in HS. Expectations went down in college because his outside shot was nothing special.
It has since improved, but his biggest strength IMO is his willingness to attack the basket. He is no star but he is a decent player.
Another example of good players from the lottery, who can be had a couple of years later because there are so many of them.

ESPN talked about Blake Griffin to Boston for Crowder, Bradley and the Brooklyn pick.

Ilardi: It's probably time for the Clippers to concede that Griffin andDeAndre Jordan -- both superb individual players -- just don't mesh in the frontcourt. Despite the broken hand and tarnished rep, Griffin still has huge trade value. Swapping Griffin for the Celtics' Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley and draft picks could work under the cap and potentially help both teams.

The Clippers are trying to win now and want vets not picks. Maybe we can jump in as the third team

Basically we give up Ed Davis, Hendo, Meyers, take on some salary and get the Brooklyn pick which could be #1 overall and Ben Simmons.

The premise has mutual benefits for all teams. Clippers get a ton of vets who can play on both sides of the ball and a deep bench. Meyers gives them a free throw shooter to finish games. Boston gets the star they want and shortens their rotations.

Amir / Sullinger / Zeller
Griffin / Olynyk
Turner / Lance
Smart / Hunter
Isiah / Rozier

DeAndre / Ed
Crowder / Meyers
Hendo / Pierce
Reddick / Bradley
CP3 / Rivers

Plumlee
Vonleh / Harkless
Aminu
CJ / Crabbe
Dame

Also came out that one of the main reasons he was dominating in HS was because he was older than everybody else.

A lil OJ Mayo esque.

Zero interest in Shabazz. We have wing prospects who are either better (Crabbe), or with similar potential (Harkless).

Interesting although I wouldn't be surprised if Boston would consider that to be too much to give up. I'd switch it up slightly, sending Crawford to Boston (they could use the extra scoring punch) and Johnson to Portland, but otherwise it works for me.

Yeah I think we'd absorb whatever overpaid players other teams don't want.

Thats a good tweak I agree Boston could use Crawford off the bench.

I want Sullinger. I think he would be awesome in Stotts' offense.

Don't get me wrong, I love adding Collison and mcLemore....... but I really like Hendo. I think I would keep him if I could.

the clips trade could happen but why does sacramento do the first one? already have cousins, koufos and w-c-stien covering the center spot

They likely view Meyers as a PF. They'd probably think Meyers would be the perfect compliment to those 3 big men.

If we add McLemore we have to trade Henderson cuz Crabbe and McLemore need their minutes

yea but even confused ameratuers like me see that myers is only useful as a five, i am pretty sure their their scouts will have informed them of the same

We need a backup PG to play like 10-12 minutes a night to help move the second unit along because CJ has problems setting up an offense. Besides talk about Evans is moot he can't contribute to our cause this season and who knows what he will be like post surgery? We are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, we shouldn't be trading contributors for someone who MIGHT be good next season, especially when that position isn't a huge need.

Right now our needs are:

1) Downlow post presence

2) Backup point guard

Unless we can pry Z-Bo and Chalmers from Memphis on the cheap, our likely path is gonna be wait until draft night/FA to address needs.

I completely disagree. CJ does just fine setting up the offense.

Where can I sign up for this? I think Ben would have a revival in Rip City and DC is one of the best backups in the game. Honda's been playing well, but let's not be prisoners of the moment; he's still an unrestricted free agent. Do we really want to shell out big bucks for a fourth guard?

Idk I just feel like if we added a steady guy who can move the ball effectively to the second unit we would be a lot better. I've seen so many times with the CJ run offense is a lot of over dribbling, late/bad looks, Davis and Hendo bail us out a lot with offensive rebounds and hitting contested shots.

if dc is one of the best backups in the game myers{a RFA looking for a payday in july} aint going to git 'er done myers isn't a 4 and they don't need a 5. probably let rondo walk in june and promote collison.

We're playing with house money...14mil has to be spent or distributed amongst the current roster so it makes sense we're absorbing at least that much...maybe with a 3 team deal that moves a guy like Kaman and a young project player or draft pick.

Has Ben ever looked good enough to have a revival? I know he has a lot of potential so I understand taking a gamble on him especially if Neil feels we will lose Hendo, but I just have not seen much out of McLemore. At least not against the Blazers.

Even then, WCS and Cousins can play PF.

Contract absorption is our biggest asset.

Pending a physical, Ryan Anderson would be a huge acquisition.

Perfect contrast to Vonleh and has a skillset to mesh in immediately with this system.

The price would likely include taking on Asik.

If that means getting Anderson for no assets do you take on Asik's anchor of a contract?

The Blazers should get someone that's good at jamming it with speed 99.

Is Asik really bad now? I remember when we wanted him to be our starting center.

He's paid $10m/per and he looks like late-career Przybilla.

He just signed last summer. One of the more ugly contracts in the NBA
