Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

Why would Collison take so little?

Because the market is dry. Hickson may be lucky to get the MLE at this point.

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

I think DC and CP used to be teammates as well.

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

Yeah, I remember Watson draining like 6 or 7 threes on us in one game when he was in Seattle.

He was also a very good defender. Not sure if he still is. He is 34 now. But I believe he played pretty well last year.

@bigjohnnep

.......my sources tell me the reason Watson chose to sign with PDX is he's a huge Duck fan!

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

The thing that stands out the most is his 4 assists last season. He played minimum minutes too.

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

It looks like he's signing for the veteran's minimum. Not to get all "Portland insecure" - but why did he sign with the Blazers for that, for one year, when he could've gotten the same thing from (probably?) lots of other teams? I hesitate to conclude that Portland might actually be an attractive destination for some free agents...?

You know where to come for that "inside" info. Maybe I should change my name to @FAMS.

I think it his son that is the Duck fan. (Watson went to UCLA) Either way he just became my favorite Blazer.

Aren't you happy a fellow Mexican-Americano is on the team?

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

Didn't Collison back up Chris Paul in New Orleans? He's really coming home.

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

This was nice:

Watson is the kind of player that makes his teammates better, simply because he works with them, explains how the game works, and then backs up his talk with his play on the court. I can tell you one thing, you will never see a player hustle more, or play more aggressive defense than Earl Watson does, and I can say that knowing that it's true because I've watched him night in, and night out, no matter what the score, hound the ball handler and box out, and dive on the floor for loose balls.

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

What does The Office have to do with Earl Watson?

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

To play for a winner?

Clippers aren't a winner. They're stuck in mediocre first round and out purgatory.

I think DC and CP used to be teammates as well.

If you want to call it that. Basically, Chris Paul missed a year while DC put up All NBA type numbers and made Paul look expendable. What happened to the guy?

I guess... wow it is weird to see someone saying the Clippers are a winning organization now lol

They're not. They lost to the Grizzlies. How bad does it get?

Ask the other team in the same city and same building. The Clippers are keeping their free agents. The other guys aren't. I don't give a fuck about the past. The Clippers are now the team in LA.
