That's exactly what we want out of a third string pg, ability to play in case of emergency, and happy to just be part of the team and spread whatever knowledge he has to those who play ahead of him.

this is a great signing. Earl knows he's going to be a mentor, but he can also still play. seriously, this guy could earn the backup pg spot and CJ would be the third. i understand that's not the plan, but that's how absolutely shrewd this signing is!

You could be right, but if that happens McCollum was a big mistake.

It may only be for a year. Patience, grasshopper.

At age 34 he's probably bossy like all old people. He ruins our average age stat.

that's always a possibility. hopefully not though.

Re: Office: welcome earl Watson thread

Olshey is all about nurturing positive relationships: with agents, with GMs, and with players. Pays off in the end.

Pritchard did that with the local media. But he was the opposite in negotiations, an asshole, and all GMs hated him. So he had to depend upon the draft and made about one trivial trade per year.

Watson, I presume.

Watson was a teammate of a Livingston 3 times: Randy (Seattle 2001-02 and 2006-08), and Shaun (OKC 2008-09).
