It will be interesting to see how many "experts" pick the Blazers tomorrow on ESPN.

OK--I get why we win the NW states, and why Utah's on our side--but how the hell did we get the Alabama vote?

For some reason I know a lot of people from Oregon that go to Alabama. Maybe they're all voting?![]()
We shouldn't be given a chance by the experts. SA is a great team and should be favored to win the west so i'd be shocked if more then 2 in 20 pick us. I also like being the underdog, gives our team a chip on the shoulder and we play better when slighted it seems.
To add to this, Mike & Mike both picked the Spurs in 5 and 6 respectively. Both said they LOVE what the Blazers have done, but this is a different animal.
First predictions I've heard so far, listening to Mike and Mike in the morning and they picked San Antonio.
Greenberg picked San Antonio in 5.
Golic picked San Antonio in 6.
They were both extremely complimentary to our team, but they didn't give us any chance.
I believe both Jalen and Bill Simmons said SA will beat us on ABC yesterday
~80% of Rockets fans believe SA will win, many predicting in 4 or 5 games.
haha bitter

So they are bitter because they are picking the #1 seed and the team with the best record in the NBA as well as a team that was a rebound away from winning the title last year over a young team that just won their first playoff series in 14 years with the worst bench in the league?
Cowherd just picked the Spurs. Didn't say how many games. Listed our horrible defense and the Spurs experience as the reasons.
Portland was 112 ppg against in the playoffs. The next closest team to them was the Clips at 106. Most remaining teams are in the 90"s
