stroy of the year for the yankees.having watched the mets though, i seriously think that they could win it all. That offense is not only powerful but efficient. Once they get Pedro back, theyll will easily win the NL.

The Mets have a very good team this year. Maine and Perez picked up where they left off in the playoffs, and even Jorge Sosa is pitching great ball right now. And of course, their lineup with 3 legit MVP canidates is deadly as ever.

This is like the Seahawks of 2006. Enough talent to dominate, but injuries are holding them back.

I dont think Beltran will ever be an MVP again - he will settle in to a Bernie Williams + throwing armReyes is amazing, love to watch him play the game, his personality reminds me of Jeter from the late 90sWright is great - love the way he plays the game, solid all around player.

Wright was an all-star last year and look how young he is. He's had his downs this year but he's out of it now. Notice those 2 hr's yesterday? He can hit for power and average and his defense has really improved. He's up there with Reyes and Beltran.

He did get off to a poor start this year, but has rebounded very nicely. When it's all said and done Wright is going to be a .300 plus hitter with 25-30 Home Runs, 100 RBI's and 20-30 Stolen Bases, and that's assuming he just plays to the level he already has and doesn't improve upon it, which is certaintly possible from a 24 year old. That is a line worthy of consideration. I'm not saying the guy is going to win it, but it's a good enough line to finish in the Top 10 again. Why can't Beltran match last year where he finished 4th in MVP voting? In 2004 he put up 38 Home Runs and 104 RBI's combined between Houston and KC, in 2006 he put up 41 Home Runs and 114 RBI's. It wasn't a career year for him or anything like that. This year Beltran is on pace for another 31 Home Runs and 116 RBI's on top of a .300 Batting Average and 27 Stolen Bases and Gold Glove Defense, which is certaintly a line worthy of legit MVP Consideration, and that isn't even his best year.
