I can understand strong disagreement, but utter hatred I suppose I'm not really gathering.

....

Its super easy to hate a racist xenophobe who openly mocks disabilities.

What im not quite gathering is how this entirr country hasnt seen this and been repulsed like the rest of us.

Some are quite easily frightened.

I found this to be an interesting article:

https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/07/donald-trump-and-the-racist-tweets/

Ben Carson had a few things to say, as well:

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/jul/17/ben-carson-defends-donald-trump-his-comments-are-n/

That said, I'm sure we could all pull article after article supporting our stances and/or claims in one way or another. Does Trump sometimes say impetuous, seemingly stupid stuff? Absolutely. He shoots from the hip more than any other politician I've ever heard. I'll leave it at that.

Yeah, if you pretend like the word racism has no actual meaning, then Trump isn't racist. It's convenient for Trump supporters, I guess.

And after all, he strongly denies that he's a racist. So he must not be, because as we know, a strong denial is always sufficient proof of innocence.

Trump pretty much retaliates against those who lash out at him or his policies. History has proven this over and over since day-one of his presidency. That said, if they happen to be non-white, it's considered racism by the left.

no...it's just that it makes him a racist AND an asshole....sometimes not mutually exclusive...he insults white people who question him....asshole...he calls brown people murderers and rapists and tells brown govt officials to go back to their shithole countries....racist...Trump double dips

Yes, he's extremely petty. But that doesn't mean he's not also racist.

Conversely, it doesn't necessarily mean he is.

Seems to me the reasonable doubt card went out the window on this guy a long time ago....I understand the need for his fans to find an out for his behavior but it's gotten ridiculous from my view...

He is a racist due to many racist comments it's really that simple and he blatantly throws it in your face All you have to do is open your eyes and listen with your ears. He relies on blind support and a good reason his approval rating hovers around 40-42%

So, Ive expressed a whole lot of my feelings on Trump here, but I would also like to say sometimes I think it’s gotten over the top. Like it seems like to the ones who dont like Trump, everything he does or says is, “the worst!”, and even though Im no Trump apologist in the slightest some of the things people make a big deal about, I kind of think, what if someone said that who you were neutral on, or you liked?

I liked Obama....you should go back and read the OT section when he was president....plenty of people said bad things about him for 8 years....without ever letting up. He handled it with dignity at least....Trump, 2 years in is flailing on about himself...couldn't check his ego at the door and just man up to the tasks at hand. I hoped he would have settled down and become a serviceable president but he did the opposite...leadership by threat, lies and insults...now that Obama isn't the target I find conservatives who hate Obama are having a hard time with criticism of their guy now that he's in office. In a democracy that door swings both ways

Oh absolutely, its not any type of excuse for Trump. I also have said I think its incredibly hypocritical for the right to complain about how the left has treated Trump. They were equally as awful towards Obama. I think the vitriol is at times a bit over zealous towards Trump too.

The simple answer to that is, can you imagine someone that you like saying something like that?

I would put things like 'Toledo" in that category. So he said Toledo when he meant Dayton, no big deal. Everybody screws up like that eventually, and some people named Biden do it all the time.

However, saying a judge can't be fair because he's Mexican, saying a congressperson should go back to the crime-infested country she came from, saying immigrants are an infestation... no, I don't think I can imagine a politician I like saying anything like any of those.

Our govt has been in a partisan divorce court for decades....it's why I voted for Gary Johnson last time...this time I'm voting for whoever is leading Trump at crunch time...I'm voting against someone, not for someone...and it's sad it has to be that way

I have a hard time picturing a politician I like!

Thats my point though he says some just down right awful things and its totally ok to point that stuff out and rail on him for that stuff, but miss speaking or comments that arent really, “anything” dont need to be contrived into a bigger deal than they are.

The difference is, trump will say something on tape and then deny he said it i don't care about the little stuff but he has said and done so many awful things that he pretty much has earned the daily bashing and can't wait until he is gone. He is simply an awful person that i have zero respect for

If they're non White and people who openly want to kill them and you call those killers very fine people what do call Trump? A lover of Jews? If your apartment building refuses to rent to Blacks, what do you call him? A lover of minorities? If you openly defile Hispanics what do you call him? A lover of Hispanics? There are thousands of other examples which lead me to call him a racist.

Sure, on the surface, when you read/hear some of Trump's impetuous rants, it may not be difficult to label him as a racist - particularly, if one was of a Liberal bent. Libs have been ingrained to hate Trump ever since he stole the election from their precious Hillary.

That said, it would occur to me that Trump's body of work speaks otherwise., from his policies to help raise the opportunities/standards for minorities, to the people he's chosen to work with him in the White House, or otherwise.

If anything, Trump could certainly be accused of being a ready-shoot-aim type. Again, I'll use the term, impetuous.

On a different note, I'm not certain he'll win the tariffs war with China. It's a very tenuous battle. I understand him wanting to more lever the trade playing field, but....

I had an idea whereas our government marketed a "Support Our Farmers!" campaign and listed various produce, meat, and dairy items we could all buy to help them out. I can only imagine, if our country got on-board with this, how much revenue could be generated to help our farmers across the land.

Or maybe it's you that isn't being rational about him, you should consider that possibility also.

What's he done for minorities, exactly? Who are the people in the white house that you are referring to? His white house is the whitest white house in generations.

Right, we all need more soybeans. Many, many tons of them, in fact. Maybe we could all fill our garages and spare bedrooms and back yards with soybeans.

Eat more beans. America needs the gas.

Ben Carson for starters.

I'll continue to support my President. Moreover, no Presidential candidates on the left moves my needle.

Do you think he’s racist or not.

I think he's incredibly in love with our country and is doing his best to raise the needle for ALL of our citizens. I also think he has a very short fuse when it comes to receiving criticism. Truly, he needs some sensitivity training.

That’s a non answer
