Okay Turner is awful.

Sadly, I'm afraid that may be the case. Now Portland has 2 backup SFs signed to the tune of over $140 million. Thank goodness Roy Hibbert got signed away somewhere else or Olshey would really be on a bad stretch with the bigger contracts. He's okay with getting the cheap guys no one else wants but the money offered to Hibbert, Turner, Crabbe, Leonard........DAMN!
Not to mention the avoided Spencer Hawes. Too bad we didn't get Kanter, because at lease he brings something good to the table.

He would be terrible fit at Milwaukee because they need a shooter and he is anything but. They already have a small forward slash point guard playmaker and he is so much better than Turner it's unthinkable.

There are a few teams that could take him. I am sure there are. Surely? Well Kings for one could use him.
Hell, maybe the Kings are dumb enough to trade Gay for Turner and a Future 1st. Give Gay Turners bench minutes or see if we can flip him to New Orleans for Holiday or Evans and were golden.

Blazers Get:
Jrue Holiday
Omer Asik

Pelicans Get:
Rudy Gay
Meyers Leonard
Ben McLemore

Kings Get:
Evan Turner
2018 NOP 1st
2018 CLE 1st

ET sucks!!!

But I haven't given up on him. In an interview with Quick, in response that he has the worst +/- in league (would love a link to this stat) he pointed out that "anyone who plays with Lillard has a positive +/-. Obviously, Stotts listened to him and he got to play a lot of minutes with Lillard against Denver, and his +/- was positive for the game... even though he was 5-17 from the game:

Current FG%: .367 (.286 from 3)

I know Turner not starting very good but he had decent last night. But Davis Crabbe and ML surely not blowing the doors off neither. CJ with the 2nd unit players going get tired of him just chucking up shots everytime he gets his hands on it and not getting others involve. That another thing what wrong with that group.

I think Evan Turner, for Tyreke Evans, straight up would be a good trade for both sides.

I just read an article about Boogie that said no GM wants him...he has a horrible locker room presence and is confrontational with everybody...coaches, teammates, refs, management.....not sure we want this in Portland when you could find a 20/10 nice guy out there for probably less money
No surprise here.

Patience is good, but it's going to be difficult for Turner to fit on this team.
Opposing defenses will abandon him and make him be the guy that beats them.
An open Turner jumper, especially from the 3-point line is almost as good as a defensive stop. He is not a Stotts guy, and that's not necessarily the problem. Stotts needs to be less one-dimensional.

Turner is a career .430 shooter hitting .369 of his shots.

To end up at .439, he's going to have some very good nights for us by season's end. Even better nights if he ends up matching last season's .456.

I say this in all seriousness: I think we need Lillard and CJ to go down with minor injuries for a little bit. Then we can hand the reins to Turner in extended minutes (and get Crabbe all the shots he wants and also expand Layman's minutes). We'd lose a lot, but as things are going we're going to be in the unhappy valley of losing just enough to scrape into the playoffs (and we can't hope that the team we face will have its two best players go down, and we've learned what they can do to us when they're healthy).

Either Turner will continue to look awful, in which case we're fucked (but maybe Stotts will have the balls to give more minutes to Crabbe/Layman/Napier) or he'll look quite good, in which case HE'S TRADEABLE!

I just read this shit....

10 day ban? :dunno:

So he's a Batum replacement

I didn't mention it in my post above, but while Turner shot 5-17, the big change is that he found ways to contribute when his shot wasn't falling:
5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and ZERO TOs in 29 minutes.

Honestly, if he'd hit 3 more of those shots, we'd be talking star-type numbers. Hopefully, this game means he's turns the corner here.

We'll some of those shots were rebounds of his own missed shots so in a way he was like 5-14 since he scored on those three possessions anyway.

Is no one talking about the fact that Turner was playing better because Dame AND CJ were on the floor with him? Maybe he should start?

I don't know what they're talking about, it never rains down here! Evan should have bought a house down here and commuted by plane if he hates rain that much!
