Jail blazers 2.0 in the works, I can see the soccer mom's freak!

I hope I'm shocked, but I won't be holding my breath. It's also scary because if he swings and misses, he may panic like he did when he signed Turner.

I'm telling y'all, PA is willing to pay for a $150M payroll.
Thats a contender payroll, Paul Allen would have to pay around 80-90 Million tax bill. But hey it's not our money and like i said he's rich as fuck :)

I want to believe NO / PA will do something to inspire confidence that next year will be different, we’ll see... Hope they figure out how to use the trade exceptions to bring in another good player.

The only way someone sends a player to us for TPE is if they consider that player not useful for their purposes. How is that going to help us?

I'm literally going to vomit if we use TPE to acquire someone like Courtney Lee or Marvin Williams.

Yeah, the last thing we need is a 40% 3pt shooter who's also a good defender as well as a veteran presence. That'd be horrible.

This is the move to make:

DEN Gets: #21, Sefelosha
UTA Gets: #24, Aminu
PHI Gets: #14
POR Gets: #10, Faried, Bayless

I'm not against this, but who do you go after at #10? I'm not that much of a Faried fan, would this make Zach the starter at power forward?

Here is another guy that Olshey could think about hiring as a big man coach:
Green was drafted by the team a few months afterwards and the 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year told Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell in an interview for ABC in the US the Aussie taught him everything he knew about guarding the post. “I’ll never forget it,” Green said. “My first day out at Golden State he was teaching me different things you could do that you couldn’t do in college and throughout the course of that year just teaching me positioning. “I wouldn’t be half the defender I am without Andrew Bogut. He taught me so much about defence that I owe all my success to him, defensively.”

Who will also be 33 when the season starts and will put us even deeper in the salary cap hell while maybe adding 2-3 regular season wins at very best.

Why would Denver just randomly give up #14 for #21 without any reward? Sefolosha isn't worth much currently.

I get where you are going....but that would massively put the Blazers into the Lux Tax basically just for #10. Seems like a LOT to pay.

They safe some cap. And it's Denver, they traded a 1st round Pick and Nurkic for Plumlee . And they traded the 13th Pick (Mitchell) for Liles and the 24th, you Never know what they do next

But i agree, 10th Pick isn't worth to go that much in cap hell. We need something different

Faried is a useful player, Bayless could be a decent backup PG, and both would be expiring contracts that could conceivably used in a future trade deadline deal. "Cap hell" isn't determined until April of next year--lots of time to reduce it prior to that point.

Mikal Bridges would be the target at 10--a SF who would likely be able to contribute off the bench immediately and be a long-term starter alongside Collins going forward. Definitely worth the one year of Faried/Bayless' salary.

Sefalosha's non-guaranteed--they would effectively be shedding Faried's salary in its entirety for the price of moving down 7 spots.

Now that it's broken down a little better, I like it more. :smiley-beerchug:

So, reading between the valet parking lines:

1. They’re happy with the core players (Dame, CJ, and probably Nurk and Collins). They see that as the base for a team that makes the playoffs every year.

2. The Crabbe TPE will be used to bring in a solid rotation contributor.

3. The bench needs building with proven vets. The Vonleh TPE and MLE (or whatever it’s called these days) will be spent to bring in those players. Bye to Bazz and Pat.

Bro, our salary total doesn't matter to anyone but PA, and it doesn't even matter to him.
