Buster olney says that somehow a-rods appeal wont be heard till november. Doesn't seem possible but thats what he says. If thats scenario can see arbiter knocking off 49 games to seem reasonable and a-rod sits next season

Agreed... I hope the ones that do show up boo him mercilessly... and I hope the rest don't even show up.... I will not bring my family to watch another Yankee game in the Bronx while he is on the team.

I remember Jeter once saying "We're the Yankees we get booed wherever we go. Girardi pretty much stated the same thing a last night. A-rod is going to catch it bad and can you imagine the Fenway Park Greeting. But again the MLB crew that shamed him lauded his abilities as a ballplayer to include the piece I saw by Mike Lowell on Quick Pitch this AM. To me a dirt bag under any other name is still a dirt bad. I agree with Daryl Hamiltons comment that beautiful tiffany designed NY logo is now becoming a poster for all the wrong reasons thanks to A-rod. They need to get his suspension under way ASAP!

yeah... I place the blame of the fiasco from yesterday until the ruling of the appealing of the suspension solely on the shoulders of Selig... if he used the best interest of baseball clause, he wouldn't have been able to play and it wouldn't have been a long drawn out sordid affair...

I've got a feeling this is not going away anytime soon. And that its going to drag out straight through the winter. It's total bullshit. This whole thing could have been handled a lot better. Even something so simple like..."Okay Mr. Rodriquez, we'll make it 150 games effective immediately but you cannot appeal". Anything would have been better than this crap.
