reading all the newspapers here in Heathrow, there's a pretty big difference b/w the viewpoints in the articles about the President. One calls him a "centre-left superstar" that helps out the Prime Minister just by association, another thinks of him as a "gifted orator" and praises his barbecuing skills, and another basically asks "where's the beef?" while pointing out some of the policies that he's continued of a supposedly horrible presidency and wondering about the change in the media environment of the US that's basically abdicated their role as watchdogs.

Man, why didn't he train his driver better? This is a huge, huge problem. If there is one thing we elect a president to do, it is to supervise his chauffeur when traveling to other countries.

It was straight out of the Simpsons. All that was missing was Mr. Burns/Obama flogging Smithers/Secret Service with a cane.
Sooo defensive. Barry is a lovable goofball. Enjoy it for what it is. I wish he'd laugh at how clumsy and awkward he is at times. He should play up that part of his being, instead of trying to be Mr. Cool.

How is it defensive? I agreed with you that Obama's driver doing something makes Obama awkward. It's like if you get into a cab and the cab driver runs a red light, you're a criminal.
Obama is SO stupid that his driver makes mistakes sometimes. That's legendary stupid, not just run-of-the-mill stupid.
Also, is he even a US-born citizen? Has he released anything other than a poorly-Photoshopped birth certificate?

Health-wise or cheeriness about life? Pretty happy with life right now, but I have a cold.
Please show where I defended the driver? Although, I will say that driver is human, like all of us, and probably a lot of people would have had trouble getting that limo over that rise. So in some sense, I guess I will defend him. I don't see how his being in some kind of limo driver union is relevant.
