Martinez double makes it 3-0. Cole may not get out of the first inning at this rate.

Looks like Cole without his illegal stick Um is like Samson without his hair. He looks like a batting practice pitcher

Cole manages to get three in a row without any further damage.

A walk to Hernandez to Hernandez to open the game. A 2run home run to Devers, followed by hits to Bogaerts, and Martinez a double.

Followed by a ground ball out, a pop-up fly, and a strike out.

Not how anyone wants to start a game out. Let's hope Cole found his groove with those last three at bats?

With a name like Rizzo you belong in the Bronx. Home run to center by Rizzo. I hope this kid has a great year I always liked him since he was with the Cubs.

Rizzo's making 16 million

Freddie Freeman is making 27 million.

I would rather have Rizzo any day of the week

Stanton leads off doing what he does best- striking out!!
Gone-K-alro.

Donaldson grounded out to start out the game.
LeMahieu grounded out to finish the first inning.

How sweet it is not to have to watch Gary Sanchez behind the plate setting records (for most errors in one inning). I could never find the mercy to forgive Sanchez for that bumblefk game in Oakland when he made four errors in 1IP, with I believe Severino on the mound.

Trashman is one blowhard bullshitter……how do “Yankee fans” believe his comments is beyond me.

Good to see you Lion, you had me worried last year, when you went on the DL!

As for Mr. Cole……the ace of the staff has opening day jitters! Sure. Lol

I don't think we're going to see much difference with Lawson as a hitting coach.

I don't have much space in his philosophy or his mantra motto:
"Hit Strikes Hard", in other words more swinging for the fences.

I'd rather see the mantra Motto:
"Just hit the fkng ball", or Wee Willie Keelers- "hit him where they ain't".

I'd love to see Donnie Baseball return to this team as a Hitting Instructor, but I can't see him being subservient working under BaBoone!

Trashman will forever want a Yes Man, which means the return of Girardi will never happen, the return of Showalter will never happen.

I wish Hank would sell this team with Jeter in an owner's mix. I doubt cheater would ever keep the illustrious GM around.

Gallo was a huge mistake. Good outfielder but an absolute strike out machine.

5-4 Red Sox with bases loaded, one out and out comes Gleyber to pinch hit.

Gallo was a huge mistake. Good outfielder but an absolute strike out machine.

I really thought someone anyone would have worked with him, to change up his over extended stance, and give him the tools to teach him to make contact with the ball. Something anything to improve his eye to hand coordination.

This ghost runner crap isn't baseball.

Totally agree with you Vic!

I was under the impression Manfred was lobbying to get rid of that bullshit.
I did not realize until yesterday both the players union and the owners wanted to keep it around. The pussies don't want to play Extra innings fk 'em if they don't want to give fans extra innings, games instead of playing Little League. Some of the best MLB games I've ever attended were definitely Extra inning games. I never forget the one Yankees game that didn't end until around 4:00 a.m. New York time.

Back in 1990, June 15th.
At Chavez Ravine the Padres versus The Dodgers. 13th inning approximately 1:00 a.m. Joe Carter hit a 2 run home run to win the game, a very low scoring game, 1-1going into OT!
In the top of the 13th Tony Gwynn drew a walk, Joe Carter drove him in, himself too.

That's what's called getting your money's worth, even though there was probably less than a thousand fans left in the stands. In LA seems like 50% of the fans leave after six innings. I guess in one respect it doesn't surprise me-
