I agree with majority of the forum - keep threads separate. They need to die from natural causes and new exciting ones take their place.

It's fuckin stupid to have 2 or more threads on the same topic when they are actively being used at the same time. What's the point of having to read and keep up with two different threads on the same topic? Should we all copy/paste our posts in both threads?

I tend to dislike mega threads if there's many topics included, but way too often on here, we have a nice thread going on about a trade target, and inevitably, someone creates a new one that's just slightly different, like a poll that says do you want it to happen, or something along those lines and, like BoBo says, the discussion ends up the exact same in two different spots, which is annoying.

One way to make it much better is if people would take a minute to scroll down, look at page 2-3, or use the search function to see if there is already a thread on the topic instead of being an attention whore and starting a new thread for everything. 😗

Bro, now when you attempt to start a thread…..RIGHT UNDERNEATH it has a list of threads titles similarly and it says something like,”IS THERE ANOTHER THREAD LIKE THIS” and gives you an option to simply post in that thread before you create one exactly the same. It’s RIGHT THERE!

Also, I keep hearing people say, “I don’t like scrolling thru hundreds of posts trying to find blah blah blah” What does that mean? What is the difference of going thru a 200 post thread about Kyle Kuzma instead of FOUR SEPERATE 50 post THREADS about Kyle Kuzma. Somebody answer me that. It’s the SAME thing.

I don’t know what your settings are, but mine take me to the first UNREAD post of a thread. It doesn’t get anymore easier than that FAMS!

Here a wild idea - how about you don't read every thread?

I'm reading and posting a lot right now with the deadline coming - but most of the year I like to have a lot of seperate threads and I only enter a very select few.

If there are large mega threads then I just won't read anything. More threads with fewer posts is much better as it lets the reader decide how much or how little to view.

True there is no difference IF YOU READ EVERY POST

But to many of us we want to skip threads. Thats why its a huge time saver to have separate threads so we only have to go into the select few we want to view.

Maybe mods can have a feature where every post ALSO gets posted in the Melo thread? Then you can have just ONE thread you ever look at.

You are asking members of a forum who have been year for almost 20 years to simply NOT read certain threads? WTH?

Simpy keep the same topic in the same location. How is this so difficult to do?

What are you talking about?

Why would you not read every post of a thread whose topic interests you?

Why would you want to skip threads? Why skip a thread of a topic you are interested in? This makes no sense. You are saving no time reading 4 threads about Billups being fired instead of one. Please explain how you are saving time reading multiple threads on the exact same topic.

You sir obviously don’t use the ignore feature.
I don’t either but there are those that use it extensively.

All of you are pretty funny. I jump on here start reading stuff. Throw a few jokes, insults, likes, laugh faces, what have you and then put my phone down and go about my life.
I honestly don’t care what thread I read something in but go ahead and come up with a good plan and I’m all for it.
Have a great day.

I mean Right at this moment there are 6 Joe Cronin threads on the front page.
I bet that is burning some people up right now.
We won’t be content until the entire first page is nothing but Cronin threads.

Is Cronin the best GM?

Is Cronin a bad GM?

Is Cronin your favorite GM?

Is Cronin your least favorite GM?

Cronin’s plans for the deadline.

What are Cronins plans this summer?

Cronin arrested by FBI due to ties in alleged illegal gambling scheme.

Fire Cronin.

I hope Cronin never leaves.

Just went and counted again. Now there are 12 Cronin threads!
Maybe they should all just be merged with the Melo thread?
