A couple awful turnovers and that's all it takes. Aside from the third period I feel like the Rangers held their own. There were a couple opportunities when the Rangers had glorious chances and instead of taking the shot, opted to pass or pull up (D Moore's pass to St Louis when Quick was already down and not on the post and then the 3 on 1 when Nash decides to stop driving the net then loses control of the puck).
What worries me more though is that the Rangers didn't have ANYTHING working aside from the low cycle. The two goals they scored were on breakaways and you can be sure the Kings will adjust their defense to minimize those chances the Rangers get.
At least the Rangers stood up physically against them. Some great hits and tenacious forechecking.
The series is far from over, but the Rangers wasted a great opportunity tonight.
