But talk up Trump all you like--I won't "trash talk" your praise of him. I'll respect the actual experiment going on here, just keep it on topic!

No, there was a reason Sly started this selective thread: It was designed to be a "safe space for Trump supporters." That's why he then stipulated, "No Trump haters allowed!" With an exclamation point for added emphasis.

You're an effective Trump hater and not in any way keeping my space here "safe". You're simply being a contrarian wanting to debate your positions. Again, there are many other threads in here that allow for just that. Have at it in those. Please honor the spirit of this thread, though.

No Trump haters because this is a safe space for saying the orange man is great. I'm looking at this holistically (thread title and opening post) and you're just looking at a piece of it! If you keep it on topic (praise for the orange man), then yes, I shouldn't be responding. But you're not keeping it on topic, so the non-Trump topics are fair game.

If you want a safe space for all topics, again, I invite you to form a private conversation with the people you consider kindred spirits. A discussion forum isn't a place for a safe space for any topic, no responses allowed. That's kind of the antithesis of a discussion forum.

Stick to the spirit of the experiment (saying nice things about Trump) and I will too, by not responding.

Bullcrap. Sly started both threads because the Trump vs. whomever debates/arguments got way out of hand. Hence, the dedicated threads. The spirit of this thread is NOT simply designed to say nice things about Trump. Gimme a break. LOL

Not whether Obama is a secret socialist Muslim from Kenya or whether Hillary Clinton tortures children in a pizza joint's basement.

I think we basically agree. You keep the topic on Trump, nobody disagrees with you in this thread. Other topics--fair game. I'm glad we were able to hash this out amicably!
 
Somebody actually thinks threads have spirits? Thread lives matter? Threads are just titles with opinions....I just troll here to heckle dogs and deplorables myself...the other Trump thread is more fun..I hate black velvet paintings of dogs playing poker! Everyone knows dogs just slobber on cards...if someone hates on a forum member who loves Trump..technically it's not hating on Trump..it's hating on his cheerleader

I absolutely saw what I wrote and make Trump connections to, and being maligned by, Obama/Biden/Hillary et al in more ways than you may know, or even care about. However, as you had encouraged, I'll take you up on your offer to have a conversation with you outside of this thread.

I created the Orange Men threads from a request by Mags. I'm always looking for different and better ways to moderate the forum. It's an ever evolving playbook. Just like in real life, some things work, some things don't. This is not really working as there have been opposing parties posting in both threads.

I'm not going to ask staff to moderate these two threads for anything beyond personal insults.

It's the playoffs, the Blazers are in the playoffs, this is a Blazer forum. Our site traffic has gone way up, especially with the amazing run our favorite team has been on. I need staff to continue to do their excellent job on the basketball side of things. Asking them to do additional duties in just two non Blazer threads is not what is best for the site and our members.

When the NBA playoffs are over and after our Blazers have won the 'ship we might look into this again.
 
Its not that hard. Trump haters, stay the fuck out of this thread.

Too bad they are obsessed with people not having similar views as themselves.

I didn't meant to respond exactly that way to you. You do a great job in here. What I was referring to was that everything you said really had nothing to do with my remarks regarding reaching out to Minstrel in a private message (per his solicitation as a whole). Yet, as far as I know, he's choosing not to respond.

I'm not entirely sure what you're bitching about here. If you actually read my posts, I said that if you want a private place to discuss QAnon-related nonsense with like-minded individuals, with no risk of being replied to, you can create private conversations for that. A public discussion forum isn't really the place, IMO, for an "oasis of no disagreeing responses."

I didn't really feel like having a private conversation to go over the same stuff we already went over in the public thread--that has nothing to do with what I invited you to use private conversations for.

Sorry, man, I just didn't see the point since you were basically just restating all the same things you told me in the thread. I figured it was best to stop engaging on the subject, leave it as "agree to disagree." I apologize if I hurt your feelings, that wasn't my intent.
