That's gonna be hard to go under every single overpass

You knw, the more I think about this, the more I'm thinking it's a case of a hired gun sorta thing.
It kinda seems like it. The way the shooter acted came off like how you think of a cartel type hit man or something... The whole thing is just strange and terrifying.

Especially when you consider what is being implied to be the catalyst...the windshield wiper fluid?

It doesn't damage your paint, and it's not like it would block his view.

Not according to the OLive story:

“We drove by it, and then it got behind us,” Goldsbury said. “And then when the lanes started to turn to one again, the car started driving really close to the back of us almost like it was going to hit us. And then it would go into oncoming traffic and kind of swerve towards us, like trying to push us to the side of the forest.

She said the other car did this a couple of times, so she told Anderson to pull over and call 911. He did. He also got out of the car while Goldsbury dialed, she said. That’s when the driver of the other car stopped parallel to them and started shooting into the car, she said. “The last thing that he said was, ‘Oh my god, they shot me.’” Goldsbury said."

That makes more sense. The other article was very confusing.

My friend almost shot someone in a road rage once. We were both riding our bikes when some douchebag in a spanking new sports car thought it was funny to mess with us by running right up behind us. We gave way so he could pass but dude kept staying behind us to do the same shit. I saw my friend reach for his gun (I knew he was packing heat) and rode up to him to stop him. That douchebag didn't know how close he was to being riddled with bullets that day.

My cousin, who is a complete wackjob, apparently pulled out a katana when a road rager confronted him. This was decades ago and the story was third hand, but he's the kind of guy that dose this. To my knowledge he didn't hurt the guy.

I didn't know @EL PRESIDENTE is your cousin.

Part of thinks a lot of the people who complain about Oregon drivers either A: haven't ever actually driven many places and don't know or B: just like to cite things that make Oregon look bad.

Try driving in San Diego or LA...it's a lot worse.

I was JUST in LA. Either i hit an anomaly or it isnt what it once was. I drove from lake elsinor to lax and left at 8 am on a Monday. Expected major rush our and angry drivers.
Nothing like that. Courteous people changing lanes with blinkers not zigzagging in and out, etc.
I was taken aback and was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the drive was.

Getting knifed to death doesn't sound like fun either. Or just getting run over when you get out of your car.

Get back to me when you figure out how to eliminate 400 million guns in this country without disarming law abiding, responsible citizens decades before criminals.

Imagining a world where law abiding citizens have no guns, but criminals still do. Because criminals don't follow the law...
I'm sure if this couple just called the police it would have all turned out OK. Police are very responsive... Out in the forest... And cellular service is great coming over the mountain...

No thanks. I'll have my EDC for self defense, as will my wife.

I don't buy the tired argument that the problem is too big to do anything about it. And frankly the amount of effort you put into defending guns, with used up talking points every time these things happen, is just weird. I would prefer to imagine a world where kids don't have to go to school in fear and one where I won't get shot by some jackass with a itchy trigger finger just so you can pretend you are batman.

So I see all of the attacks against me, without suggesting any actual realistic proposals to get where you claim you want the country to be.

I have to assume you don't know of any. Which is what I expected.

I've looked. There is no realistic way to get there. And I'm not interested in pretending we live in Imagination Land. I'd prefer we actually address the issues. Which is completely different from the straw man position you tried to paint me with.

So, when you want to actually bring something to the table let me know. I'm interested in having the discussion.

Your going against traffic for the most part and people up at 8am are professionals and employed persons going to work.

Likely took the 15 to the 91. 91 is shitty drivers around Riverside and also when you get around Compton.

Guy must have lost his car payment and rent money at the casino so he took it out on that innocent guy.

When I first saw the headline I didn't understand why it had to include "BMW". Why not just "shot dead by driver in road rage incident".
But I guess it helps get the word out on who to look for.
Terrible terrible. I feel so bad for this guy's girlfriend who had to witness it.
I hope they find this bastard ASAP and he has a miserable life in prison.

My aunt used to work Trauma ER in a bad part of LA.

Excellent post.

Welcome to our gun problem here in the US. That accounts for the vast majority of non-suicide gun violence in our country.

I am all about addressing the problem. Almost certainly more so than Biden is.

Same with driving. First thing in the morning drivers are usually good. As you get towards rush hour in the evening, you gotta step up your defense.
