That sucks.

the guy I talk to that has some connections to the Ducks told me he was skeptical Cure was going to come this weekend, blizzard or not. He said the staff is trying hard with this kid because they rate him highly, but there doesn't seem to be any real optimism. That's why they have pivoted to Ploog and Olesh

On the positive side, yet another stud WR is looking toward Eugene...

Johntay Cook is a 5* from the 2023 class who has been at Texas but now is in the portal. He's said to be buds with Evan Stewart and Dakorien Moore

I remember a big time DE that ended up going to Cal. Can’t put my finger on the name right now though

Was it Gabe King? He actually transferred to Eugene from North Carolina to play at South Eugene but then ended up going to Cal. Keenan Allen was another North Carolina guy that the Ducks were recruiting. When Gabe King transferred I thought the Ducks were a lock for all of them as there were a couple of other guys from North Carolina that were being recruited with them. They all ended up at Cal in the end. Keenan Allen was a big loss.

I believe so. We used to have lots of recruiting battles with Cal back then so my memories a little foggy.

That was kind of the beginning of me following Ducks recruiting.

Yeah Cal could actually recruit with Tedford. They got Marshawn Lynch a few years earlier along with Desean Jackson. The Ducks really wanted Marshawn. I don't think Desean Jackson gave Oregon much attention, but Marshawn seemed like he was going to be a Duck for a bit.

For the Maryland game Oregon is hosting four guys from the 2026 class with the lowest rated by rivals being #29 overall prospect and UO verbal commit from Texas RB Tradarian Ball. The other three are #7 Bama WDE Anthony Jones, #13 Tenn QB Jared Curtis & #19 Ohio CB Elbert Hill. They are also hosting the #3 overall prospect from the 2027 class, California SDE Richard Wesley

Every time I hate watch Miami, I come away with two opinions:

1. I have an irrational hatred for Cam Wards stupid wave celebration. Every time I see it I can feel my hate for this team rising.

2. The ACC should be demoted out of the P4. Every year one of their teams feasts on the rest of this weak ass conference and then gets exposed in the playoffs. Miami sucks. They’re no better than the Mountain West.

Clemson had their run. Other than that it’s been a weak conference for a long time.

Even in basketball it hasn’t been what it used to be

I hope they win. I want to play them the playoffs.

Well, maybe we're more likely to play them in the playoffs if they lose... Maybe we can get them as our first matchup?

Reality is, probably any playoff team is going to destroy them...

I can’t.

I’ve always despised Miami.

When Cristobal left us, which was a blessing in disguise, it added fuel to the fire.
