Getting owned on the line. Can’t get pressure on defense and can’t stop a 4 man rush on offense. The Right tackle is really getting abused.

ok...first of all...I'm sure the beevur fans here are celebrating

now, I had some business I had to attend to so I knew I was going to miss most of the first half. Set up the DVR

but by the time I could check the score, 28-7....yikes! Now, I did not expect the Ducks to win. They are playing a team that has an average age of 23 and the the starters average 4 years of experience. And that team has excellent coaching and doesn't make mistakes playing against teams that are 3 years younger, on average. And the Ducks just don't match up well against the Hoosiers. Duck weaknesses are facing Indiana strengths

but...28-7. WTF? So I quickly ran thru the recording during breaks and saw the problem....Ducks are aren't just shooting themselves...they are shooting themselves with bazookas.....geeeeezuzz.

Indiana only has a 175 to 121 yard advantage. But 21 points off turnovers makes that irrelevant.

34-8 at halftime last year against OSU
35-7 at halftime this years against Indiana

Dante really struggles on how & when to move from the pocket or even up in the pocket. Like he cant process it. I think theres a chance he portals again.

I think this game will move Moore to stay. He had an opportunity to cement himself as a top 2 pick and I just don't think it happened tonight. I could see him falling down the board. Therefore, I think the money if he went say 11 to Miami is not as big of a deterrent as it would have been at 2. Phil can give him 5-7 next year and the Ducks can run it back with him.

Two things...

1. Two seasons in a row where we have seen just what an amazing advantage Autzen Stadium is, and Oregon fans are.

2. This was billed as a down year for us. Too many young guys to even reach the playoffs. Some had us finishing 4th or 5th, behind Ohio State, Penn State, Indiana, and the laughable USC prediction. This young team finished 2-1 in the playoffs. Go Ducks!

Got beat twice by the eventual champions. Ain’t no way Miami beats Indiana.

these two tweets I posted earlier in the week are worth repeating:

this isn't an excuse for what happened tonight. It's a signpost of the new reality created by NIL and the Transfer Portal. Cignetti and the Indiana staff have realized the importance of those two changes to the equation. And they have Mark Cuban helping finance the portal signings

Iniana's average age is 23 and the average experience of their starters is 4 years. I don't know what Oregon's average age is but I'd guess it's around 20 and the average experience is around 2 years

I've been saying this for a couple of season and mostly I get a lot of resistance: recruiting the portal is more important than recruiting high school talent. Oregon would have been an 8 win team overt the last 3 seasons without the portal. They did lean into it, but they didn't lean enough. And they have lost ground so far this year because the FBS schedule is so fucked up

I had two basketball games to watch tonight so I missed most of it. Caught our second possession. Was feeling pretty good when my younger daughters' game started.

Checking the score at halftime let me know I wasn't missing much I'd enjoy....

Forgot to get some chocolate milk. Dang!

Bad as it is to get blown off the field, a nail biter loss means a year spent agonizing over that one play. Hard as it is to swallow Indiana was the better team.

Ducks need a new coach. Lanning can’t win the big one. The team was woefully unprepared.

Nah...The ducks beat themselves big time with turnovers. 132 other fans bases and teams that would trade positions with the Ducks. Ducks one of the youngest teams in the country. I think Cig has discovered the magic potion of grabbing older well seasoned athletic dudes. Even their lines are athletic and smaller than most but scheme relentlessly. We need a qb that can scrabble when needed and create too.
