Alabama, LSU, Michigan?
...are states with bigger populations then the state of Oregon where football is religion and everyone is a fan. While there are lots of passionate Duck fans in Oregon, it's not on the same level. Also the way the country evolved with population starting on the East coast and spreading West, there are a lot more Eastern transplants out West still rooting for their old interest then vice versa. I'm sure Oregon drew better ratings then those schools last year as they were all in down years while Oregon was undefeated and ranked #1 for much of the season, but media companies aren't doing their best to appeal to those fanbases for any other reason then their data shows there is more money to be made doing so.

I’m confused. I saw that you posted a tweet about schools. They had the most players in the NFL. And now you’re talking about state populations? Are you saying that, never mind

sorry that we crossed wires. If you read what I wrote in what you quoted me on, thats what I thought you were responding to. In that same post, the thing I linked about most players in the league was from SuperWestSports. From their list it seems pretty clear they're only focused on Western schools. Pretty sure the three schools you listed (and several others like tOSU) have more NFL guys though Oregon is rapidly ascending that overall list. Last year they had a record number (for UO) of players drafted. I'd guess next draft sets a new standard

You could maybe to these numbers and add teams like Alabama and Ohio State and Texas and Michigan and Penn State.
It might mean more that way.
Thanks for your complaints about a tweet I came across and relayed. Is the google machine not working for you?

Bro nobody is sleeping on the Ducks. That was and still is my position. Not even sure where you are going with what you are posting at this point. The spin is pretty strong on this at this point.
Take care. Hope you enjoy your day.

OK. here are the stats. Seems that graphic might be wrong; on another compilation, Oregon rated to have 30.
As of late 2025, Alabama leads all college teams with the most players on NFL rosters, followed by Georgia and Ohio State in a tie for second. Other teams with a significant presence include Michigan (fourth) and LSU and Notre Dame (tied for fifth).
Top College Teams with NFL Players (2025 Rosters)
  1. Alabama: (SEC): 62 players
  2. Georgia: (SEC): 57 players
  3. Ohio State: (Big Ten): 57 players
  4. Michigan: (Big Ten): 44 players
  5. LSU: (SEC): 39 players
  6. Notre Dame: (Independent): 39 players
  7. Oklahoma: (Big 12): 32 players

Register-Guard says 37

I'm confused. how can there be such a disparity of active players from an ALUM? Unless the transfer portal effects that by chance? Maybe one has it at one number, because they don't consider X player came from Y team, because he transferred late, or after a certain date?

Just seems odd to me to have different numbers. I'm not a college buff like some of you though, so I could be missing something?

I did thanks, you take care as well.

The sleeping on the Ducks comment was relayed by you from the announcers in the game you were watching. I certainly don't need convincing that this is an extremely exciting Duck team with legit title potential as I've been saying that for many months. The national media absolutely was sleeping on Oregon, just as those talking heads you were listening to stated. I tried to weigh in with my perspective as to why that is... the national media follows the money. Not sure why you keep saying I'm spinning things, making tweets that actual media sites are putting out (I don't tweet or have an account), or why you've been so confrontational/condescending as from my perspective we've generally had respect for each other and had good back and fourths even when we disagree. Heres hoping we do better going forward.

maybe it's including practice squad players? If the ALUM you're referring is me, I was just struck by a tweet I came across on another Oregon media site and relayed it here without a second thought. I'm hardly an authority on NFL rosters as it's been many years since I watched a pro game. I do know that prospects care which programs are putting guys into the league though. Oregon leading the Western schools seems a big deal to me

I think we also have to take into account that. especially at this time of the year, NFL teams are constantly dropping and adding players to the 53 man roster. So these numbers change daily.

Not you. Just the students Alum. The school they graduated from. But then most don't graduate right?
Im just really confused at how they determine who came from where.
Maybe they are also confused, hence the range in numbers? Lol.

Gotcha. There should be a criteria like had to play the last 6 or more games from X school to be considered coming from there.

does Auburn get credited for Bo Nix or does Oregon? Stuff like that...

Everyone goes by the last school the person played for. That's why Gabriel is credited as a Duck and Shough isn't.

Id say Oregon because he played his final full season there and was drafted as a duck.
Maybe it should be what uni you are wearing at the time of being drafted? Not sure.

Joel Klatt will be part of the broadcasting crew for this weekend's game...

Guys on the pre game just gave Moore a glowing report. Maybe he is the real deal?
We all hope so.
