Girls basketball team is currently undefeatedSo they don’t? Is that what you are saying?
So they do have girls at Benson now. It was a polytech school back in the day. No girls.Girls basketball team is currently undefeated
Not sure when they made the switch, but they had girls there in my years at Grant in the late 80’sSo they do have girls at Benson now. It was a polytech school back in the day. No girls.
Was it that early? I thought they had like 20-30 girls total by 80-81?1973 females returned to Benson high school .
And just think…..you STILL wouldn’t have a chance with ANY of ‘em! #BAMWas it that early? I thought they had like 20-30 girls total by 80-81?

Just hold old are you? Class of “beginning of time?”So they do have girls at Benson now. It was a polytech school back in the day. No girls.
Wait. Am i mixing up my schools? Isnt Benson across 84 from lloyd center? Franz bakery across the street? The would take students from NoPo?My grandpa went to Benson and grew up right by the St Johns bridge. I guess it was a prestigious all boys school back then.
I have cousins (who grew up in NoPo) that won state championships in baseball and football at Benson in the late 80’s/early 90’s.
It used to be if you were a good athlete from the nutty North, you went to Benson. Things have changed. Last I heard, Benson doesn’t even have enough players to put out a varsity football team.
No way. Madison always had better looking cheerleaders.Just hold old are you? Class of “beginning of time?”
Im 91’ grad and Benson had always been bisexual.(?)
Used to go there to root for our basketball team with friends ( helped dating a Madison cheerleader, because they had to attend and cheer) and watch them lose to Benson every time and I remember them having cuter cheerleaders than us.
Teens…
They have a VERY prestigious sports program that’s for sure! GHS used to lose amazing athletes to benson all the time! Just without a true neighborhood to draw from and less and less kids trying to learn trades, attendance plummeted. Very sad what’s happened there. My grandpa went to Benson and grew up right by the St Johns bridge. I guess it was a prestigious all boys school back then.
