Luck and Manning were #1 overall picks while Leinert was #10... how is that not working out? Barkley was massively overrated by the media because he'd followed some marquee QBs at USC. By NFL starting QB standards he was on the short side, lacked arm talent & was not athletic. Dante is about the same height as Barkley but has always had an elite arm and good athleticism. He is a much better prospect physically. The comparison that rings most true for me is Rodgers.I did a quick search and read some comments that Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Matt Leinart and Matt Barklet all were highly regarded prospects that went back to school. Didn't work out for two and did work out for two. Adding in what I said about next years qb class being absolutely loaded (which could include Simpson too), it is a tough decision indeed. He would need an elite season to stay at the top of the pack. Could totally happen but so much risk there.
The figure I've heard bandied about by insider types is 4-5MMaybe Phil ponies up $15 million this year to keep him?
Fully agree with this. If Dante leaves, Oregon will have 5 QBs currently in the NFL... 6 if you count Shough. That sort of success recruits itselfIf Moore leaves, the Ducks will have their choice of many good potential transfers qbs. They will be fine.
teams enjoying this month long break are now 0-5 in the playoffs last year and this...Ohio st dealing with the same month long hangover that the Ducks dealt with last year

I don't see his draft choice as that tough of a decision, more like an enviable one. If he feels that another year at UO betters his chances of success at the next level, then he stays for more money in one year of NIL money then most of us will make in a lifetime. With out question if he returns he'll take out a multi-million dollar insurance policy protecting him against the risk of suffering a debilitating injury. If he feels he's ready, then he goes and is a top pick making generational money on his first contract. Of course the 2nd contract a starting NFL QB signs makes that 1st contract look like a pittance... along with success in his chosen profession, thats the real prize.
Too cuteGarbage play call on 4th
Their defense is unreal.
