Kate Brown is at the bottom of this list:

I think this is going to be a neck and neck three way race. And Drazan may just slide in because Kotex is waaaayyyy too liberal for many Oregonians (and is too closely tied....unfair or not....to an unpopular Kate Brown), and Johnson's pro gun leanings became an even bigger liability this past week or two. I personally can't bring myself to vote for either one and will likely not cast a vote for any gubernatorial candidate. But I won't be shocked if Drazan wins pretty much by default, as the other two candidates are more polarizing than her. But then, Trump could give her the kiss of death and endorse her. Whatever happens, this could be the most interesting governors race in my lifetime.......
Going to be interesting to what kind of summer (protest & such) we will have leading into the election.

What's more interesting is that Desantis isn't more well loved.

Spells trouble for his presidential run.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that. She will get a solid 40% of the state vote. Betsy will get more dem votes than rep votes. If any more than 1 in 5 dem voters votes for Betsy, Drazan wins.
Love a three way race! Should always be that way imo.

Just counting from this list, there appears to be 28-Republican Governors and 22-Democrats.

Based on straight mathematic ratios, one would expect to see ~8.4 Republicans and ~6.6 Democrates in the Top 15 tier (assuming an equal distribution).

However, there were ONLY 2 Governors who were Democrats in the Top 15 (much lower than statistics would suggest). These Governors enjoy 58% support.

Assuming the 'poor' Governors have lower than 50% support, there are 8 in this Tier. 6 of the Bottom 8 Governors are Democrats (much higher than statistics would suggest).

Coincidence?

Pretty sure the GOP have shown how cultish they can be with how many Republicans would suck Trumps dick if given the opportunity.

Obviously more Republican voters were polled than Democratic Voters.

Really? What makes you think that will have a significant impact?
I was actually leaning towards Johnson......until I took a much closer look at her stances on various issues. She's nothing but a Republican running unaffiliated but it was her recalcitrant stance on Second Amendment "rights" that woke me up. No way on God's green earth would I vote for that wolf in sheep's clothing......

Pro-Gun Rights as a State Senator, Betsy Johnson Is Now Open to Gun Control in Her Bid for Governor

FWIW I don't trust her either, and her flipflopping doesn't make it any easier.

Politicians that flip flop isn't something new and it seems many do it just for votes.

Exactly. Just trying to get Democratic votes. Then she won't do anything about Guns.

I had the same epiphany.

I listened to an interview with Johnson yesterday and outside of her stance on guns I seemed to like her. Tough cookie.

Kotex seems like Kate Brown part 2.

but I’m a Washington resident so it’s all moot.

Many of my Dem fam & friends like her too.
My youngest daughter said “she reminds me of grandpa’s dem party”.

There's only one choice in my opinion.

Betsy is doing the hot button issues thing. Commercial showing her driving through a homeless camp saying "No More Tent Cities". I would like to hear how she plans to get rid of them? I would also like to know if she knows the obstacles in front of her trying to get a population of people who don't want to move out of their tents to actually move. I wonder if she knows that Pan Handling is one of the major problems we have right now? Notice how most of the worst homeless tent areas are closest to areas where they can pan handle. Right next to freeway on and off ramps is one of the many favorite places.

Hopefully these candidates are asking themselves why the homeless encampments generally end at the Portland city limits. Yes, there are pockets pretty much everywhere, but why do Clackamas and Washington Counties seem to have a better handle on the issue? I know my community is good about offering them resources, but local law enforcement very much "encourages" them to spend the majority of their time elsewhere when they aren't accessing those resources. They may not want to leave, but apparently our local government gives them less choice than Portland does(?). In some ways it is obviously a lack of political will. That is an oversimplification, but shit like that happens when you become a People's Republic.........

Probably by arresting them.

I am a lifelong Democrat, but no way I am voting for Tina Kotek. It’s unfortunate because Betsy Johnson seems like the only reasonable alternative to her. But it is what it is, I am voting Betsy even when I disagree with her on some of the major issues, I just cant stand Tina Kotek. She is all the things I do not like about the modern Democratic party rolled into one person, ugh.

What's wrong with Tina?

Actually I got the opportunity to show her around my work and talk to her for an extended period of time. She’s really sharp and has a very solid plan for the state.
