Any more boneheads want to tell me that the government doesn't want to take my guns? If this bill passes, owners of an 'assault weapon', (including dozens, maybe hundreds, of common semi-auto pistol models), will be allowed to register ONE of them. If you own more than one, the rest must be destroyed, sold or shipped out of state.
Same for keeping high capacity magazines. Three mags can be registered. The rest must go.
To register, owner must submit to background check....and what a fucking surprise, the State will charge the owner for that privilege. Never mind the owner went through the background check when they bought the gun (and paid for that privilege, too). The owner will have to store the gun in a way deemed acceptable by the state, and submit to an unspecified number of (warrantless) inspections of that storage.
If I read it correctly, the owner will not be allowed to shoot the gun on public property, except a public gun range.
It will be a felony to possess an unregistered AW or HCM.
Anyone that thinks this will stop people from walking into schools and killing people is delusional.
What is DOES do is create a list of where all of the guns are for when they decide to outlaw them.
Yay, we can be just like California!
