Oregon To Air It Out In 2013?

Passing works well. We have the talent to do it. And Passing it opens up the big running game.

True. I guess I'm just partial to running as it tends to demoralize defenses more so than passing.

Oregon has decidedly led the Pac 10/12 in rushing for 6 straight seasons which would seem to indicate that they've got the running game pretty wide open already. Being a successful run first team has helped them land the top rated RB prospect in the West 2 years in a row now. They're a couple missed kicks from appearing in 3 straight mNCGs. I like where this snowball is heading and see little reason to switch who they are

They have a Lyerla and Josh Huff and DAT(in the slot). Use the run game to open up the pass game.

If the run gets shut down, pass it like in Madden

If they plan on some little swing passes to basically get DAT in the open field, then fine.

on Oregon's streak of signing the top back in the West the past couple years, Joe Mixon is sitting on 30 offers but waiting on his "dream school"... the program he grew up rooting for

The Ducks have had a steady stream of premier RBs for awhile now, but that ended with the departure of Barner. We have no idea how good Tyner will be, but none of the other RBs on the roster are top notch talents.

I disagree with most of this starting with DAT not being a top notch RB talent. He's awesome, they just only play him there some of the time because moving him between RB/WR roles is part of their constant pressure that breaks a defense. And while nothing in life is a given (especially a RB's health), I think we can be pretty sure Tyner is a real talent. Besides being a full size larger then their recent star backs, he's one of the fastest sprinters in the nation. Though Byron Marshall didn't have the benefit of a Redshirt year like Kenjon did, he did have a comparable Freshman year statistically. I'm very optimistic about his future as he looked like he's got the great size and speed package that made him the top rated HS RB in the West in the 2012 class.

I agree. Our near future at RB is excellent.
