I'm not an O'Reilly fan in the least, but I must say I loved this spot. O'Reailly is 100% right here.

If O'reilly wasn't such a caricature of himself it might be easier to take this shtick more seriously; Frank is a tool and very well could bear some individual responsibility in this debacle, but instead all I end up hearing is a lot Charlie Brown-esque "Wah wah, wun, wah, whawhawa"
This Barney Frank fella doesn't belong in congress. I can you tell you that much. He can't even talk for gods sake. Plus he's a socialist.
You think Frank could bear some responsibility? I know everyone wants to blame Bush and the republicans and they have some blame for sure but Franks is probably the biggest cause of the mess we are in IMO. He knows it and goes nuts if anyone even hints or suggests he had a hand in the cause of the problem. Why do people keep electing these tools and jerks like Frank and I don't care if they are democrats or republicans.![]()
Yes, I said Barnie Frank very well could bear some responsibility. How the hell did you take that to mean I blamed Bush and the republicans?
My comment had more to do with my disgust with Bill O'Reilly, douche-nozzle extraordinaire.
I wasn't really picking on you and wasn't trying to say you are blaming Bush and the republicans but many people are especially the democrats in congress. Guys like Frank have been blaming Bush and other republicans when in fact they had more to do with the problem IMO. I would think Frank wouldn't try to blame other people for his mistakes.
Ah I see. That said, when you quote somebody it usually means you are making a direct reply to their statement.
I was only trying to question you that you only thought Fank could bear some responsibility instead of a lot of the responsibility? Sorry![]()
Well we could get into semantics debating the difference between "some" and "a lot," but frankly neither term is very objective. On principle though I think Mr. Frank may have said some irresponsible things regarding the health of the sub-prime mortgage industry, but it is flat out absurd to assume that people who invest large sums of money rely on the comments of members of Congress as investment advice. This shit storm in the mortgage industry has been brewing for years and there's a heaping steaming turd pile of blame to be spread around to EVERYONE involved.
Barney's a good friend of mine. I don't know the details about all of this though. What's he being blamed for?
