Former Florida Gators guard, Taurean Green, is headed to Spain after agreeing to a two-year contract with Gran Canaria 2014 of the ACB League.

Green, a second-round draft pick (57th overall) of the Portland Trail Blazers in 2007, appeared in just 8 games for Portland during the 2007-08 season before being dealt to the Denver Nuggets for Von Wafer.

Appearing in a combined 17 games for Portland and Denver, Green averaged 1.6 ppg in just 4.4 minutes per contest.

In the off-season Green was dealt again, this time going from to the New York Knicks along with Bobby Jones and a 2010 second-round pick (which the Knicks recently used to select Landry Fields) in exchange for Renaldo Balkman.

Green’s time with the Knicks was short lived as he was cut the following day.

Since then, Green has played for a number of clubs including CAI Zaragoza of the ACB and most recently with AEK Athens of the Greek A1 League, where he averaged 15.3 ppg and 3.5 apg.
