Wouldn't that be an amazing story if they won tonight, gutted it out against Cleveland, and found a way to punk the Lakers or Rockets in the Finals? Like Rudy T said: "Never underestimate the heart of a champion!"

I hope not. I'd rather have any of those teams win rather than the Celtics.

I'd say no because the Cavs don't choke away leads like the Magic do.

Also FWIW, I'm hoping the Nuggets or Cavaliers win it this year.

I don't think there's much chance. I think Orlando without Jameer Nelson and Boston without Kevin Garnett are both tier 2 teams and thus it's a good series. I think Cleveland will easily defeat whichever team wins that series.

I'm hoping the Nuggets give the Lakers a fight in the Western Conference Finals. I don't think they can beat LA in LA, but they're such a tough team to beat at home that if they can steal one in LA, they have a real shot.

As we closed in on the playoffs, I offered a $20 bet to several of my basketball friends where I'd win with a LA-Cavs finals that goes at least 6 games and they'd win if anything else happens... no one took the bet. Tough economic times loom for the league next year and I suspect Stern will milk this postseason for every last dollar.

STOMP

Orlando just won, tying the series. It goes to game 7.

Ugh...There is nobody I want to see win it this year. I absolutely despise every team remaining.

No chance at all. They will be lucky to beat the Magic. They wouldn't win more than 1 game against the Cavs.

The fact Boston is still alive at all is a testament to the power of rigged officiating, so it appears you'd have to ask David Stern.

If Lebron goes down they could. You just never know.

Considering Lebron never gets hurt . . . and his team is already in the ECF, not likely. He's missed 17 games in 6 years (less than 3/year) Hard to imagine him getting hurt in the ECF.

And Boston isn't getting KG back - at least not at anything better than 60% of the KG we saw last post season. Cleveland is going to crush Boston (assuming the C's win game 7 vs Orlando) in 5 games - 6 tops. I just can't see the Celtics winning a game at Cleveland, where they only lost 1 game all year that Lebron played in.

I still think the Lakers win game 7 vs Houston and beat the Nuggets. The finals will be Cle vs LA - and it's not b/c there's a conspiracy - they are the best two teams in the league. I would have picked the Lakers easily (6 games) when the playoffs started. But they haven't looked so dominant in the postseason. If you believe that they play to the level of their competition than they will be fine. But who would have thought a Yao-less Rockets team could force a game 7? Not me. Meanwhile Cleveland is 8-0 and has won every game by double figures. EVERY GAME. Now I'm not sure who wins that series. If in fact the Lakers do have another gear they are waiting to hit, than it'll be them. Some say it's not so easy to turn that switch off/on. We'll see. The advantage they have is Kobe is the best closer in the game. If the games come down to the wire - Kobe is the best shot maker with the game on the line since MJ. Lebron just isn't on the same level in that category.

I have to admit that Cleveland/LA and Lebron vs Kobe would be good for basketball. I'd love to see Lebron just put it on Kobe in the finals, but he was 14-45 in 2 losses vs LA this season. I still think the Lakers in 7, but Kobe has to play out of his mind (would you bet against him?) for this to happen. Bynum is nowhere to be found and Odom is banged up. Admit it, you may hate Kobe and you may hate Lebron too but would you rather watch a Cleveland/LA finals or Denver vs Orlando? I've wanted to watch this match-up ever since Lebron came into the league.

We have a better shot than the Celtics.

I would love however, for Rondo have a game where he performs so bad that he remembers he is Rajon Rondo and then never plays again.

There is no way in hell Celtics are winning it all; they are playing like asshole; I watch the games and it just seems so much slower paced then the Houston Laker series. It's really weird...

I think the Celtics can win 2 or 3 games against Cleveland, even without KG. The one time they faced them without KG in Boston was no contest. Boston beat them easily and the Cavs even shot like 20 more FTs than they did. The Celtics seem to always find a way to make every game competitive, I just can't see them getting swept or losing in 5.

That's my realistic view. The homer in me thinks we can take them.

Celtics are the dirtiest team in the league. They will lose and I hope badly if they get by the Magic. It just seems like the entire team has become cheap shot artist, I guess KG has taught them something as he stands on the sidelines doing that finger walking thing.

I'm a freaking Laker fan, I saw how the Celtics did at home without KG so I say they should get two wins at least. I don't think it is homerish to think they could take it to 6-7 games, if that is the case they have a decent shot at reaching the Finals. The Cavs have struggled against good teams on the road all year and they've played against cupcakes so far and will come off a lot of rest.
