FWIW: Bruce Jenkins wrote in Sunday's SF Chronicle that David Stern wanted Chris Paul to go to the Clippers rather than the Lakers in hopes there would be another strong WC team to challenge the Spurs (which sure did not work out well). Because the Spurs don't get good ratings in playoffs/finals. And now they don't even have Eva Longoria in the stands.

Take it with a shaker of salt; Jenkins is a rabid Laker lover who never forgave the Blazers for being in the 1990 Finals instead of LA.

bruce Jenkins is worse then canzano. he is all about conspiracy against the "best team and organization in the world."
