least we play them again
I think Brand would look good in a Blazer uniform. Philly has to be regretting that signing right now. I bet they'd like Raef.
Would you really still want him with his 2 injuries the past 2 years? He seems to be acquiring "Theo Ratliff-itis"
That's why he becomes a 20 minute per game bench player. Every great team needs a monster coming off the bench. He'd be like Antonio McDyess for Detroit or Brian Grant when he was a Blazer. He would also provide injury insurance against LMA, who is injury prone.

we won't be paying 70 million for a backup PF with major injury problems, just to state the stupidly obvious![]()

Exactly the same reason nobody even PA would trade for Arenas with his 111 million dollar contract.
no way would it be worth it to pay the guy 80 mil over the next 5 seasons (minus what he has made so far this year). He is already 30 and injury prone. It would be one thing if we were in great need of a PF, but we just don't need one. need for a bu pf is just not the same thing. If he had 2 years left on his contract, that might be something to consider, but not as is. PA is already going to have to sign Roy, LMA and Oden to giant contracts, even though PA is willing to spend above the cap, I just can't see him keeping others like Bayless or Rudy et al if we become crippled with unmovable contracts.
They were two freak injuries. He'll be 100% next year and is exactly the kind of low post banger we need to compliment LMA's finesse game.
I bet that there isn't more then 10 fans of the 76ers that are sad over this news.
it's more the paying 70 million to a backup thing than the injury.
