I can't lie. I like Bynum. I hate the Lakers... don't get me wrong. But I am starting to like Bynum!

Did you see that block he had on Emeka the other night? Damn!

Gonna be awesome watching Greg and Andrew bump heads for years.

Can't wait 'til him and Greg tip it off! One of these guys on here has the countdown. It drives me nuts every time I see it.

nope cant like him, only players i like or blazers or former blazers that didnt rip the blazers when they left.

When was the last time two talented big men went against each other in the NBA, with teams who were rivals and in the same conference and the two centers were in their early 20's? Nothing really comes to mind. It was always Ewing's Knicks vs. Jordan's Bulls, Shaq had Hakeem but Hakeem was much older and wiser..

I'm hoping Oden vs Bynum will be the big thing to watch in a couple years. It makes for better drama and it will help both guys develop better games IMO.

Hakeem and the Admiral had some HUGE battles!

That's right... forgot about the Admiral. Though Hakeem took him to school so many times on the block, it wasn't even funny. The Admiral had no clue what Hakeem was going to do next!

In that playoff series in 1995 maybe; normally The Admiral did not get dominated like that.

Me too. I wish Portland had drafted him instead of Webster. Unlike a Chris Paul, he wouldn't have made enough difference to really change where Portland finished the next two seasons.

Yup. Overall, Robinson outperformed Olajuwon in head-to-head matchups and his Spurs teams won more of the Spurs/Rockets games.

Olajuwon had one amazing series against Robinson; Olajuwon should be credited for that series, but it didn't really reflect how they generally matched up.

^who is JQ, and Ill agree except for the last two games....He has been put in a lot of weird lineups by Phil. Lakers preseason is just different it seems than other teams with the weird things PJ does

Lakers preseason is on TNT tonight so you guys can check out the twin towers for yourself

You guys definitely have a nice two headed monster. Forgot you guys also have Mihm. Kind of disappeared over the last couple of years because of injuries but thought he was a servicable big man.

Match ups are pretty damn good for Tuesday's game

Kobe>Roy
Blake=Farmer/Fisher
Odom?Walton>Batum
Gasol= LMA (slight edge to Gasol although I believe LMA outplayed Gasol head to head last year)
Oden=Bynum (tossup who knows how this matchup will go)

Bench
Blazer>Lakers (to me Rudy is the difference maker)

Coach
Phil>Nate (hard to argue when Phil has won so many championships)

Homecourt
Lakers>Blazers (although Blazers play well against Lakers no matter where they play)

^Well your probably wrong on the probable Lakers lineup. Vlad Rad is probably going to be our starting SF and if not him then Ariza. Odom is coming off the bench so factor that we are now having a 14/10 player coming off the bench. Our 2nd string is going to run run run and its no secret. Farmar, Odom, and Sasha will be hauling ass when they get in the game.

Chris Mihm looks to have made huge strides in coming back. He says he is pain free for the first time in two years and it shows. He has been doing great going after rebounds for the most part.

PS...Is it too early to get a game thread going? :)

It is never too early.

Greg and Bynum's stats have looked pretty similar, but Greg has done it on less touches I think. Bynum is good, and just because he plays for the piss and lavander doesn't mean we should bash him. It's not like he raped anyone in Colorado or anything.

Bynum v Oden is going to be one of the best battles for the next 10 years (if both stay healthy)

Great point about your second unit. The 2nd units of both these teams are going to be fun to watch. Sergio, Rudy, Travis, Frye and Pryz, damn! Even with Odom on your 2nd unit I like our 2nd unit better ;)

Sorry I'm jumping the gun on the game thread, lol. Can't help it I rush everything just ask my wife ;) Well not you DaRizzle, don't want my wife talking to any ex wanna be pornstars ;)

OT- bendavis503- where is the Ha thread of all the photoshopped pics, which is where I assume you got that avatar- I've been looking for months and can't find it. thanks.

Bynum was kinda "underwhelming" last night again. He def. isn't the same without Kobe, and is still somewhat raw offensively. Bynum is a good rebounder and shot blocker though.

Can't wait! :smiley-fingersx:

How is 66% FG shooting, 100% FT shooting, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 1 steal in 21 minutes underwhelming?

So 12/20/6 is underwhelming if he played 41 minutes?

On the offensive side . . . just doesn't seem in sync yet with the flow of the offense.

6 points from the hype he was getting is underwhelming. Its not a bad performance at all, but from expectations/hype it is a little "underwhelming". The same thing they were saying about Greg when he was gettin' like 13 and 7.

He played well defensively though. His O game will get better when Kobe is in there, as Kobe helps him out on offense a lot with lobs and drawing defenders for a dish.
