OT: Charlotte exploring trades

I guess it's a matter of win now or build for the future. Wallace isn't a young buck anymore. He'll be 29 in July, so he'd be great for a team that's trying to contend now, but he wouldn't have a very long window (especially with the way he plays ball IE Crash). I just don't know if this team is good enough to contend anymore... and I think Wallace would be a bad fit with Roy (if we care about that anymore). Jackson would be a better fit with Roy.

It really all depends on whether we think we can win with this team. Make Roy happy and see if he can still bring it?

Stephen Jackson for Miller straight up.

Ben Gordon for Joel and Rudy.

These moves are done with a "win now" concept in mind.

Gordon/Mills/Johnson
Roy/Matthews
Jackson/Batum
Aldridge/Cunningham
Camby/Marks

Roy gets his shooters. Put up or shut up.

I would entertain trading Roy first.. if you can get something decent for him you do it...

Roy for Wallace? fillers and incentives required

Good grief. Nobody, absolutely nobody, is going to touch Roy's contract given his health status. Unless he finds a way to play and contribute at a high level with his knees the way they are, he's a Blazer until his contract expires, the Blazers are willing to take back a worse contract, he retires, or possibly he gets traded in his last year as an expiring contract.

Build for future....

I don't see how trading for 2 aging but good players in Jackson\Wallace improves this teams chances at winning an NBA title....a few more games? Yes, but not much improvement after that.....

If we were planning on contending for the next couple years, I'd say make that move for Wallace. But, I don't think thats the case and he's 29.
