OT... Chris Paul A Clipper

this is for all you people that said "that's the best deal they could get, nothing will ever come up that's better".

Haha yeah, the media was ripping Stern non-stop, but you can't criticize him now! They cleary got a much better deal with a great young prospect in Gordon and a possible top lotto pick.

So in preparation for both Paul and Howard coming to the Lakers, the Lakers dump Odom??? HAHAHAHA!!!

Yes and I believe CP3 only had a partial removal, like Roy had back at UW, so Paul has at least a few years before that knee gets worse. It could be only 2 years until it really acts up for him but it could be 15 years and not effect his playing career much at all.

From what I've gathered Paul has no meniscus in one knee

Of note is that no one from the Clippers has been amnestied, so they could use it on Mo Williams and the biggest contract would be that of an extended Paul. They have few assets left, but could make a run at Howard.

That would've been a great plan if they hadn't given DeAndre Jordan $40+ million....

"IF" Howard ended up a Clipper!!! You'd hear Kobe exploding in Tualatin! HAHAHAHA!

Interesting, I was pretty sure it was only a partial removal but if you are right then he has bone on bone which could be a big problem long term.

So do you think the league tries to screw Minnesota as much as possible to make that lotto pick nice? Maybe they force Kahn to stay on the job until after the season ends.

It's all speculation really

Only reason we found out about Roy is because he tells the 100% truth

In light of the CP3 news:

Forgot about that. Salaries tab has yet to be updated. Orlando may want him in a S&T though. He certainly can stay healthy better than Bynum.

Forgot about Butler too. It would have to be a deal this year with Jordan being the centerpiece.

All the reports from his last knee surgery said he still had a partial meniscus in the repaired knee, but the doctors expected there to be some bone-on-bone rubbing. The meniscus in his other knee is fine. He's not in Brandon Roy territory yet, but could be headed that way with one of his knees. Another tear to the remaining meniscus in the repaired knee could require removal of the remaining meniscus and a total bone-on-bone situation.

BNM

cp3 and his wonky knees for 4 lottery picks (kaman, gordan, aminu and this years unprotected minny). clippers got robbed.

Where are the laker fan bitches whining about collusion now? low basketball IQ having motherfuckers.

Doesn't it say a lot about the Clippers that fans of other teams aren't screaming, they're like "oh, that's nice!" and tousling the team's hair.

I almost want to listen to LA sports radio to hear the laker fans crying.

Good. I hope the Clippers soon make the Lakers their bitch.

"Its collusion by the league! the deal was GOOD!"

uhhhh...the hornets just got a way much fucking better deal.

"SHUTUP. ITS A CONSPIRACY!"

So far the Laker's big move is to dump Odom for a traded player exception and lose out on CP3 and Howard.

Makes my little heart glow.

If the Clips are able to manuever for Howard, it was worth it. If not, they gave up way too much.

You would have thought other teams with stars wanting out would have offered to take less than what the Clips gave up.

I'm going out on a limb here that Orlando isn't interested in trading Howard for a deal where DeAndre Jordan is the centerpiece...

Clippers made a hell of an acquisition today, but their blunder two days ago in matching Jordan cost them a chance of becoming Miami West.

Billups and Williams can easily play the SG position. Billups can easily start as a shooting guard.

After seeing Kwame Brown get a 7M dollar deal and Nene 14M per year, my guess is somebody would take Jordan and also give compensation. The Paul trade frees up a couple of million and an amnesty of Williams puts them in position for a max contract. They could also move Ryan Gomes/Randy Foye or give both buyouts.

I would rather take the 4 #1's, salary relief, and Brook Lopez, but you never know what is really being offered.
