Can a mod please delete this entire thread. Don't move it, delete it. Reading Blazer fans (BLAZER FANS!!!!) giving props to the Lakers for winning the championship? Arma-fucking-geddon.

So the Bulls didn't win 55 games without Jordan?

Gasol is on Pippen's level?

Any team that the Bulls beat with Jordan would have swept the Magic, and I am including the eastern teams they beat to get to the finals. I think that is the main difference.

I don't really get where you're going with this, it makes no sense.

huh? you think that Kobe didn't have much help?

Uh what is your point? I made mine already. Pau Gasol is a fringe all-star, Lamar Odom is an inconsistent role player.

There is no elite second option now, like back in the three peat.

Yes, they have multiple options. Lamar and Pau and Bynum...that's pretty formidable IMO. To suggest that Kobe has less help than a Jordan-Pippen bulls team is pretty laughable.

Actually it isn't laughable, what did Bynum do in the playoffs? Lamar's 11 and 9 each night sure gives us the edge in talent per night?

sure its laughable. The L*kers have an excellent collection of good NBA talent. You trying to minimize it to give Kobe more of an edge is funny to me.

Kobe didn't have a great series IMO...sure he put the numbers up but it wasn't that great except for game 1. yet they won the championship.

He had 30 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals, in game 5. He had a monster second half in game 2, saved the game. Look at Jordan's last 3 Finals, it is right on par.

And Bynum is an injury-riddled big who did very little for us.

Bynum : 6.3 PPG, 47% shooting, 66.7 FT%, 3.7 rebounds

Why are you trying to hype this scrub up?

you have to ask yourself...was this a legendary performance? to me, it was a very underwhelming finals series predicated on the weakness of the Orlando Magic.

still doesn't answer the questions. but you know what, I don't give a shit. Kobe deserved to win MVP, Lakers won the championship. big deal about the rest of the details. see you guys next year, we're knocking the L*kers the fuck out.

Good luck man, the Blazers are legit in my opinion. We definitely have to worry about you guys, I'm almost in love with your core, lol.

Fuck the L*kers and fuck their fans. Take your victory celebration to a forum that wants it. frankly I hope their plane goes down on the way back to LA......Well, maybe just have someone go Tanya Harding on K8be's knee instead. I hate K*be and everything he stands for off the court. He is nothing more than OJ part II.

wow.. classy MM

It doesn't really matter as much about how much talent was around Kobe (top 5 PF, one of the best bench players, great SF in Ariza, big body to throw at Howard in Bynum, but how much talent was on the opposing team.. Not much if you ask me.

Fuck the Lakers.

Silly thing to say. I hate the L*kers, and always hae. Why in the world would I be happy if they won? I would have been happy for any other team.

As a Yankee fan I heted to see the Redsox win as well.

I don't understand how a fan of the Trailblazers can be happy to see the L*kers win to be honest.

They were the better team. I was more referencing your wishing violence upon players/people you don't even know.

i dont even give a shit that the lakers won or that kobe got mvp thats fine whatever type thing......

what i care about is that.....

the stache....

got a god damn ring before roy....

When Michael Jordan played, players could handcheck you on defense. Scoring efficiency is up leaguewide since the rule change...so it's hard to say that the current era is tougher than the handcheck era.

Career:

PPG: MJ - 30.1 > Kobe - 25.1

DWS/48: MJ - .078 > Kobe - .043
WS/48: MJ - .249 > Kobe - .159

It's not even debateable.

Thank you. That made my night better.

The Current era is more athletic imo, combined with Zone. The League almost went bankrupt in the 80's I think? Kobe's already empirically on par with almost anyone, he had 15+ win shares on a 45 win team at his peak, in the West.

If people want to say Jordan is better that's fine, but you're a hypocrite with the Stats. You bring up TS%, but ignore Win Shares or Per when it doesn't suit you. Howard isn't on his level, showed it here against Gasol.

I have Win Shares per 48. Jordan was better. If you use the raw win shares, it begins to look like Jordan in even more of a landslide. PER is up there too. Jordan is winning that by a lot.

You even included his numbers as a scrub to Eddie Jones, thought that was cheap. I feel fine though about my guy, don't worry.

Nice call on Howard.
