Nice win Lakers. Clearly the best team in the NBA this season.

Too bad they can't win in Portland. See ya next year. :devilwink:

I noticed Bryant jumping up and down by himself after the game. His teammates were jumping on each other, and Bryant never was involved in the piled until he forced himself into it.

The guy is a winner, but he clearly is not still one of the guys. Not that it matters, though.

I noticed that too.

all the news is about riots now. apparantly people fucked up a bus badly...fires started, cars flipped, dumpster on railroad tracks

Dude, that's your tax money.

Hm.. I wonder if DaRizzle is down there somewhere.

dude, this coverage is INSANE! people are just going around and putting trash together to start fires.

Is there anything happening around where you live? If so, I dare you to go out in a Blazers' jersey.

:ghoti:

i live in a quiet neighborhood...not going out, I'd probably run someone over if they got infront of me.

The Magic could easily have won two of the games they lost - Game 2 and Game 4.

The fact that Howard and company couldn't seal the deal in those games just goes to prove that they weren't quite ready. They're a very good team - a better team than I thought they were at the beginning of the playoffs - but the Lakers knew how to play games worth all the marbles.

I think next season in the Eastern Conference will be very interesting. You've got three bona fide championship contenders in Orlando, Cleveland, and Boston. The Cavs will have to make some moves to keep LeBron from thinking seriously about leaving, and the Magic may have to figure out what they're going to do at PG. The Celtics just need to hope that KG comes back the beast he was a year ago.

The West, of course, is going to be all about age catching up with the likes of San Antonio and Dallas, and experience taking hold in Portland.

yeah another gifted championship...which means they wont win another for a while...maimi....boston....detriot....gifted championships from stern = only mean one and done.

this was a terrible finals.....ironic Portland BEAT LA and ORLANDO...lol

Hmm, if it was gifted, you'd think that it would have been Cleveland vs. LA. LA was the best team in the league.

please take this thread and any other flaker thread to OT forum please this isnt about the blazers.....

No Zone Defense in his era though, I'll give Bryant that.

Heard of a little thing called "hand checking"? Kobe gets mad if people even invade his personal space.

The difference between the two isn't that great, though, although I say that as someone who always hated Jordan. Both of them managed to adapt their games from slasher to jump shooter as their legs started to go. (And thus a zone defense is minimally effective against either - the person it really hurt was Dwight Howard.)
