If a team decides they do not want to let a post player get the ball, there isn't much an offensive player can do. Granted, to do that, you're going to give up some 3's and have less help in the middle, but denying the post isn't rocket science.
Jamming the ball into the paint when there is 2 or 3 defenders near by (who are some of the top athletes in the world), is a little more difficult than people think.
There is a reason it's a lot easier to get Joel the ball on the post than Greg.
Understandable, but how many times have we seen the big guys wide open and not get the ball? Obviously don't force feed it if it's not there, but we've seen countless times that Dwight's been open and G.O.'s been open in the lane and they don't get it. I'm sure these teams watch tape and see it.
