Elliot Williams showcased well in the D league being the #1 ranking guard there. Apparently the Jazz took notice and are in process of signing him to a 10 day contract. I always liked EW and wish him well.

Agreed I would love to seem him succeed there. They are in desperate need of a SG and he will get the chance to play

The dude can jump. I've always liked him. I was bummed when he got hurt with us. Good Luck to him, I hope I see him on ESPN. :)

Damn, I'm sure glad the Blazers made him untouchable for as long as they did! I don't know where we'd be without it.

This post reeks idiocy! He was untouchable because he was always injured. Who was going to trade for him???? Just because he stayed on this team for so long had more to do with being such a low contract and often injured. Had nothing to do with his talent level.

Good, I'm happy he'll get another chance at the NBA. He was always an NBA level talent, but had the weirdest injuries. I met him once and he seems like a really good guy - very friendly and polite. And man, he can jump out of the gym. I wonder of we'll be seeing more Jazz highlights on Sports Center in the near future.

Word on the street says that this means Dante Exum is expendible. Should we offer Barton for him? Hmm. Exum's a lot like Barton.

I kind of wish we'd signed EW as a spark plug off the bench. I always thought he'd be a good 6man

Exum is on a rookie contract for a couple more years though...not a bad idea

I made up that word on the street stuff. Then I realized that Barton's kind of like Exum in his strengths and weaknesses.

Rook makes a good point. When the 76ers kick a player out of town, it's an honor, because he's too talented to help them tank. Other teams should start a bidding war for any such player immediately.

It also reeks of colorblindness, lol...

Word is he and Damian drink like sharks.

[kingspeed]Jazz undefeated with MOV = 20.0 since acquiring Elliot Williams.

Elliot Williams:
PTS/36 = 90.0
PER = 117.4
TS% = 1.250
WS/48 = 2.170

Suck it haters! Elliot Williams is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA. Learn the game, then post [/kingspeed]

Depending on his contract status, we may see him next year. He already is better than CJ IMHO.

Agreed. This was one Blazer I was super high on and miss him. The dude could FLY. Loved watching him play in his limited time.

He looked decent during his 10-day contract with the Jazz, but hasn't done so well in his 5 games with NOP.

Oh well, small sample size. I wish him the best. I met him when he was sidelined with the shoulder injury here in Portland and he seemed like a good guy.

The numbers are close (yikes), but CJ has some advantages:

Elliot fouls A LOT, with a much worse DRtg than CJ. Both are below their team average, but at least CJ is around league average.

Neither should play in games closer than 10 points though.
