The guy's a troll. I shouldn't have even bothered responding to him.
I'll be accepting apologies when the spurs do not play Duncan, but instead go with parker+younglings.

They are going to rest Duncan in the playoffs???
barfo
im a man of my word.
I thought the bet was that there would be no negative posts until next year. Now, it's after the draft? I call BS.

there was no chance in hell a healthy spurs team had any chance without HCA vs LA..c'mon LA disposed of them in 5 last year without Bynum and the spurs were healthy. SAS is done.
SHITFUCK.
That was the one team I was confident would beat the Lakers. Now the only real threat left to them is the Rockets.
Surely you jest? Lakers swept them in the regular season, how do you think the playoffs will go?
That is assuming they even make it to the second round(only will if they get the blazers).
The Rockets are not that damn good! The Laker beat them with argueably a softer cast of characters than we have. Of course Kobe is Kobe but you can't tell me that the Laker Euro crew is tougher than our guys? It comes down to mind set! I've got to believe that if Joel and GO get evil out there that Yao can be neutralized. They just have to attack his lurch like feet and get to the line. The Rockets have no answer for LA and this might be a great series to bring in Shavlick for gritty bumping board assaults and use Bayless on Wafer and Dixon. Nate is going to have use some different options. Sergio is just not a good fit for a Rockets matchup and Bayless would match the energy of Wafer and Dixon. I just know it! Bayless could also attack the rim and get Yao and company into foul trouble. Can't just be Roy and LA in a series with these guys!
My rules for beating the Rockets:
Joel and GO attack Yao in the paint and get him in foul trouble in the first half
Play our tempo not theirs!
Make our free throws
Bump back over and over again and know it's a street fight!
Use Bayless to go after Wafer and Dixon and do it early as to not let these
guys build momentum
When our boys push tempo they win! Our boys have to remember that the Rockets aren't that fast and Artest is like 33 now. Run his ass! Same for Yao and it's not like Wafer and Dixon are strong guys, Bayless should be able to make them miserable.
I still hope we can grab the Spurs in the first round!
Pointless point is pointless.Surely you jest? Lakers swept them in the regular season, how do you think the playoffs will go?

With HCA we'll beat the Rockets.
If we don't get HCA I think we might be able to steal one there in the first two games. If not we'll come here and get rolling at home and go back there and beat them there in the 5th game and come home and finish it in 6.
I don't see us winning a 7th game at Houston.
...and what makes you think they'll beat Portland? Oh yeah, you're a troll who's simply trying to get a rise out of people. Got it.

Without HCA, Portland will lose in the first round. Wish it weren't true but it is.
Anyway, San Antonio was never much of a threat for the Lakers. I really don't think anyone outside of Cleveland and Orlando are.
I love the idea of a Cleveland/Lakers finals. LeBron vs Kobe would be epic.
While the Blazers aren't stellar on the road, I think we could take 1 road game in 4 from any team in the league. They almost beat CLE in CLE last month, short-handed. I know the road record as well as anyone, but there's a swagger to this team now. I am really excited to see what Nate's staff prepares for the team in a 7-game series. Opponents can gameplan for us, but we can gameplan for them, and I think we have more weapons (and an x-factor in Greg) than just about anyone.
After last night's game, do you think the Blazers, without HCA, would have a chance in a series against the spurs?
Not sarcastic question, I know the spurs came off a back to back and it won't be like that in the playoffs, and maybe I'm riding a euphoria of the Blazers actually winning 50 games with 4 games left, but I think the Blazers would have a shot in taht series.
That's a good point. The Spurs look really beatable right now. I'm not as excited as many here--Duncan was playing on one leg for limited minutes, and Ginobili is done. I think a good 50+ win team should be able to dispatch them more often than not.
So yeah, if we see them in the first round (my hope) I think we beat them pretty easily, with or without HCA.
