Marc Gasol is garbage. He's the best center on the Grizzlies. That's about it.

 reminds me of an old quote:

Interviewer: "Is Ringo Starr the best drummer in rock?"
John Lennon: "Ringo isn't even the best drummer in The Beatles!"

Zach Randolph has been garbage the entire series, and he'll be 32 next year with a 7" vertical.

Z-Bo is shooting in the mid 30's against the Spurs.

Contrast to that, Zach shot in the 60's in the Clipper series with Blake "defending" him.

So I guess this tells us that an injured GS >> Memphis

Not at all. The Grizz were 3-0 against the Warriors this season.

It tells us that the Grizz are an easier match-up for the Spurs than the Warriors. You can't apply the transitive property to sports.

Zach Randolph disappeared this series and looked overwhelmed. What happened to him?

The Grizzlies just dont have a closer. Stephen A Smith was yelling about it today on ESPN First Take and it's true. Conley is a great player, not a closer. The Warriors probably have a top 10 closer in the game.

I'm interested in seeing what Memphis does in the offseason. I'd like to see them improve at the SF position. Prince probably won't cut it.

Rudy Gay was the only guy on that team who could create his own shot at the end of a game...

Since his new thread got closed, I thought this one should be bumped again.

KingSpeed was right...

Warriors don't have a closer. If they had a closer, they would've won Game 1 vs Spurs. Curry is third quarter player. Closest thing to closer Warriors have is Jack and he is not top 10. Thanks PapaG.

Thanks for the condolences guys! It was a good year though all in all. Dropping game 1 against SA still hurts like hell but they did pretty well and learned a lot of lessons.
I must admit, it was weird rooting for Golden State. Maybe the Baron Davis smell has finally dissipated, lol...

Bayless won't be back. He has a player option and thinks he can improve on it.

Curry is 100000000000x the closer anyone Memphis has

That's not saying anything at all. Grizzlies have no closer. Curry is definitely no closer though. At no point in the SA series could Curry be counted on for a bucket in crunch time. The closest thing the Ws have to a closer is Jarrett Jack.

2003 NBA Playoffs Zach Randolph was as good as if not better than this year's Zach.

I partially agree. However, the 2003 Zach was far superior to the Z-Bo we traded a couple of years later. As you well know, I long advanced the argument (on O-Live) that making him the #1 option ruined his game. He became Stat-Bo, stopped caring about defense (which wasn't great to begin with, but at least he tried), floated out on the perimeter to conserve energy and the Hoop Family fed his ego.
