OT: Ha Seung-Jin still sucks

In the midst of the most boring/longest stretch of the off-season Ha Seung-Jin is newsworthy:

Rony Fahed had 21 points to lead Lebanon, which shut down lol South Korea's 2.12-meter-high center Ha Seung-Jin to two points.

A 15-5 run down the stretch almost turned the table when South Korea were down only 67-65 with 10 seconds to go.

Fadi El Khatib received a foul with four seconds later. He made the first free-throw and missed the second but the South Koreans failed to connect on the defensive rebound when the time ran out.

I blame his coach.

Ha can certainly put the ball in the basket if he gets the ball in decent position. If his coach can't design an offense to achieve that, it's on him. If the other team manages to double and keep him from getting the ball, they need to work the ball to other players who need to take advantage of open looks. Maybe the South Korean coach has no clue what to do with a giant on his team?

Great game though. I was a full-on Ha fan that night, and Mike had the ever-pressent 'HA HA HA!" going on the radio. Fun stuff!

Four, really -- Zach and Joel were on the team in 04-05, but were injured for that game.

That was also KP's biggest win as head coach.

I would say, "That pick cost Nash his future in the NBA!" but he already had demonstrated a lack of ability to build good teams well before the Blazers hired him.
